How to use incense sticks

Hold the tip of the stick in a flame until it catches, let it burn for a few seconds, then blow it out gently so the tip glows and smoulders. Stand it in an incense holder and let the scent fill the room while you work, or move slowly around the space with it to cleanse each corner. Open a window afterwards so the old air can leave with the smoke.

Keeping the crystal

Once your incense is finished, cleanse the crystal and keep it on your altar, in a pouch or in your pocket as a reminder of the intention you set. Aventurine is traditionally carried for luck and jade for harmony.
