Manifestation & Spell Candles

A spell candle holds one intention from the moment it is lit until it burns down. Candle magic is one of the oldest and simplest ways to work with intention, and it suits complete beginners as well as seasoned practitioners. The Grove carries chime candles by colour, scented spell tube candles, crystal candles and boxed gift sets.
Choosing a candle by colour

Green for luck, prosperity and growth
Pink for love, self love and kindness
White for protection, cleansing and peace
Black for protection, release and transformation
Red for courage, passion and grounding
Blue for calm, truth and clear communication

Working with a spell candle
Choose your candle, then cleanse it with smoke or a few slow breaths. Many people dress the candle with a drop of essential oil, rubbing from the middle outwards to draw something in, or from the ends inwards to send something away. Speak or write your intention, light the candle, and let it burn down in a safe candle holder.
Timing with the moon
The new moon is traditionally the time to begin something, the full moon to give thanks and release, and the waning moon to let go of what no longer fits. Our Manifest Magic chime candles burn for around 90 minutes, which makes them ideal for a single focused spell.
Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from anything that can catch. Spell candles by the box of 12 Our boxes of twelve spell candles are the classic choice for candle magic, each colour kept for one intention. Choose black for protection, white for happiness, green for luck, red for love, pink for friendship, purple for prosperity, orange for confidence, yellow for success, blue for wisdom or light blue for peace, or start with the mixed spell candles for a little of everything. Every box is £5.99, and each candle burns for around 90 minutes.
