Choosing a crystal pendulum
Crystal points are the classic dowsing pendulum and the best place to start. They come in assorted cuts, such as a bullet, faceted point, acorn or cone, picked at random, and every shape reads the same way.
Sphere pendulums have a rounded weight that gives a smooth, even swing. Many people find them calmer to read.

Which stone?
Clear quartz is a popular first pendulum because it reads as neutral. Amethyst is traditionally linked with calm and intuition, rose quartz with love and kindness, and tigers eye with grounding. Choose the one you are drawn to.
