Description
Rose quartz teardrop on stand, polished and set in a gold cradle, 20cm tall as it stands and 151g. The stand is included in the price.
The shape is a smooth teardrop rising to a point, cut flat and polished on both faces so the light passes through the thinner upper section. Pieces like this are sometimes sold as flames, though a flame usually twists and this one does not. Soft milky pink with pale cloudy swirls and a few internal veils, deeper in tone through the body and almost translucent at the tip.
It sits in a gold cradle on a round openwork base, so it stands upright with nothing else needed.
What a rose quartz teardrop means
Rose quartz is the heart stone, and the one most people meet first. Traditional correspondence puts it with unconditional love, with comfort, and with gentleness towards yourself rather than only towards other people.
It is worked with through grief, through repair after a hard stretch, and in any practice where softening is the point. It belongs to Venus and sits comfortably with Taurus and Libra, and it comes out often around Beltane.
Upright on a stand it works as a focal piece rather than a pocket stone, which suits a bedside table, a hallway or the centre of an altar.
Correspondences are traditional and are offered as part of a practice, not as a substitute for medical or professional advice.
Care
Rose quartz fades. Prolonged direct sunlight will pull the pink out of it over months, and a piece on a stand tends to end up on a windowsill, so choose a spot out of strong sun.
It is top heavy in the cradle, so stand it where it will not be knocked. Dust with a dry cloth and lift by the stand base rather than the stone. Cleanse with sound, breath or moonlight.
