Description
A small set of seven singing bowls in graduated sizes from 14 to 22cm, made in India from aluminium. Each bowl has its own note, from deep to bright, and traditionally the seven are matched to the seven chakras, from the root at the base of the spine to the crown at the top of the head.
The bowls nest together for storage. The whole set weighs around 6.2kg and packs to about 31 by 31 by 21cm, so it is best suited to a dedicated practice space, a studio or someone who runs sound baths and classes.
How to use a chakra singing bowl set
- Arrange the bowls in a line or an arc from largest to smallest, each on a cushion or ring so the sound rings freely.
- Play them in order with a mallet, from the deepest bowl to the brightest, as a simple sound journey through the chakras.
- Or choose a single bowl to focus a meditation on one area, such as the heart or the throat.
- Circle the mallet around the rim of any bowl to make it sing.
Wipe with a soft dry cloth and keep the bowls nested and dry between uses.
Traditional uses are shared as part of a personal practice and are not a substitute for medical or professional advice.
