Description
A pack of ten burgundy taper candles, each around 53g, made from paraffin wax. Tall, slim tapers are the classic candle for spell work, because they burn steadily for a single ritual and fit standard candle holders and altar stands.
Burgundy is a deep, grounding red, traditionally associated with steady passion, willpower and ancestral work, which makes it a rich choice for a Samhain or autumn altar.

How to use taper candles in ritual
- Choose a colour that matches your intention, or white if you are unsure.
- If you like, carve a word or symbol into the wax with a pin, or anoint the candle with a little oil, working from the middle out.
- Set it firmly in a candle holder on a heatproof surface and light it as you speak your intention aloud.
- Let it burn down if you can, or snuff it out and relight it on following nights.
Safety
Always burn tapers upright in a secure holder, away from draughts, fabric and anything that can catch. Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
