Description
These banded agate spheres are 54mm across and 224g each, in soft grey, lavender and cream bands with sparkling crystalline quartz at their centres.
Choose your banded agate sphere
- A, 54mm, 224g, £34. Pale and milky, with a soft caramel band sweeping across the grey.
- B, 54mm, 224g, £34. Strong lavender grey and cream banding curving round one side, with sparkling crystalline quartz filling the other.
Every sphere is photographed on its own, and the letter in the dropdown matches the photos, so the banded agate sphere you see is the one you receive.
Every sphere comes with one of our standard wooden sphere stands.
What banded agate is
Agate forms slowly, layer on layer, inside cavities in rock, and those layers are the bands you can see. Turning a sphere in your hand lets you follow them all the way round.
Agate meaning and traditional correspondences
In traditional practice agate is a stone of balance and steadiness. These soft greys are kept for calm, patience and a settled mind, and agate is often linked with Gemini and Virgo. A sphere suits a bedside table, a meditation space or the centre of an altar.
Correspondences are traditional and are offered as part of a practice, not as a substitute for medical or professional advice.
Caring for your banded agate sphere
Agate is hard wearing at around 7 on the Mohs scale. Keep it on its stand so it cannot roll, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Cleanse with sound, breath or moonlight.
