About Campo del Cielo
Campo del Cielo, meaning field of the sky, is a crater field in the Chaco region of northern Argentina. A large iron meteorite broke apart as it fell there thousands of years ago, scattering fragments across the plain. The pieces are mostly iron with some nickel, which gives them their weight and metallic sheen.
Meteorites are traditionally linked with grounding, perspective and a sense of connection to something far larger than ourselves. Many people wear a piece as a reminder that we are all made of star stuff.
