What Caribbean calcite is
Caribbean calcite is a natural mix of blue aragonite and white or tan calcite. The aqua comes from the aragonite, and the sandy tones from the calcite, which is why the stone looks so much like a tropical shoreline.
Traditional correspondences
Caribbean calcite is traditionally linked with the throat and heart chakras, and with calm, ease and gentle letting go. It is often kept where a softer, holiday feel is wanted, by the bath or bed, or used in meditation for quiet and stillness.
Correspondences are traditional and are offered as part of a practice, not as a substitute for medical or professional advice.
Caring for your Caribbean calcite tower
Caribbean calcite is soft, around 3 to 3.5 on the Mohs scale, so it scratches easily. Keep it away from harder crystals, avoid water and anything acidic, and dust with a soft dry cloth. To cleanse, use sound, breath or moonlight.
