Crystals for cleansing, chosen by stone. Cleansing crystals are the stones traditionally used to clear heavy or negative energy from a space, from other crystals and from yourself. Clear and dark stones lead here: clear quartz to brighten and amplify, black and smoky stones to absorb and ground. How to use crystals for cleansing

Cleansing stones are often placed in the corners of a room after an argument or a busy gathering, set by the front door, or laid around other crystals to refresh them. They sit well alongside sound, smoke, salt or moonlight in a regular cleansing routine.

Cleansing is traditionally done under the full moon and the waning moon, and Imbolc is the classic time for a deep spring clean of home and spirit.

You can also choose a few stones to build your own small set, and pair them with a pouch, a candle or a written intention.
