Description
Morrigan goddess mug, a 13oz white ceramic mug printed with original Mystic Grove artwork. One side carries the Morrรญgan with her title, Phantom Queen of the crows. Turn the mug and her name sits in spaced capitals under a small crescent moon and two leaf sprigs.
The artwork is painted in soft, natural colours on plain white, so it reads like an illustration rather than a slogan. It is as at home on a kitchen shelf as it is on an altar.
Who the Morrรญgan is
In Irish story the Morrรญgan is the great queen of fate. She flies over the battlefield as a crow, and washes the armour of those whose time has come at the river ford.
She is the one who sees what is coming and speaks it plainly.
Her symbols on the Morrigan goddess mug
- Crows. Her messengers and her other form, the watchers who see clearly.
- Feathers. A sign that she is near, carried for protection.
- Yew. The evergreen of endings and new beginnings.
A Morrigan goddess mug for your practice
A mug is one of the simplest ways to keep a goddess close. The first brew of the day becomes a small pause, and some people keep a goddess mug just for moon tea or for a cup poured as an offering.
In modern practice she is often paired with black obsidian and jet, both kept for protection and for seeing clearly. Her season is Samhain, which makes her a strong gift for late October.
Correspondences are traditional and offered as part of a practice, not as a substitute for medical or professional advice.
