Imbolc

Imbolc falls on 1 February, halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. It marks the first stirrings of spring, when the days lengthen and the earliest snowdrops appear, and it has long been linked with Brigid, keeper of the hearth, poetry and holy wells.

Setting an Imbolc altar

Imbolc is a festival of light and cleansing. Many people clear and refresh the home, light a white candle in every room, and set out a small bowl of water or milk as an offering. It is a lovely time to set intentions for the year ahead.

Imbolc crystals

Clear quartz, moonstone, howlite and blue lace agate are traditionally kept for new beginnings, clarity and calm, while selenite and white sage suit the spring clean of your space. Our Wheel of the Year crystal set gathers seven tumblestones for Imbolc.
