Description
A Wheel of the Year crystal set of seven tumblestones, chosen for one festival of the year and gathered in a green velvet pouch. Each set comes with its own Sabbat card: the festival on the front, and inside, a numbered grid showing where each stone sits, with a short practice to go with it.
Choose your Sabbat
- Samhain (31 October): the ancestors, endings and the turn into the dark half of the year. Centre stone obsidian, with black tourmaline, smoky quartz, labradorite, moonstone, carnelian and red jasper.
- Yule (around 21 December): the winter solstice, the longest night and the return of the light. Centre stone sunstone, with clear quartz, red jasper, green aventurine, citrine, pyrite and dragon blood jasper.
- Imbolc (1 February): the first stirring of spring and the hearth fire of Brigid. Centre stone clear quartz, with moonstone, howlite, carnelian, citrine, amazonite and blue lace agate.
- Ostara (around 20 March): the spring equinox, balance and new growth. Centre stone moss agate, with green aventurine, rose quartz, citrine, moonstone, green quartz and fluorite.
- Beltane (1 May): the May fire festival of blossom, love and creativity. Centre stone carnelian, with rose quartz, rhodonite, malachite, sunstone, moss agate and dragon blood jasper.
- Litha (around 21 June): the summer solstice and the sun at its height. Centre stone sunstone, with citrine, golden tiger’s eye, carnelian, pyrite, clear quartz and Mexican crazy lace agate.
- Lammas (1 August): the first harvest and giving thanks for abundance. Centre stone golden tiger’s eye, with citrine, pyrite, moss agate, mixed jasper, carnelian and mookaite.
- Mabon (around 22 September): the autumn equinox, gratitude and gathering in. Centre stone mookaite, with smoky quartz, red tiger’s eye, mixed jasper, guinea fowl jasper, chevron amethyst and fluorite.
How the set works
Each set is laid as a small grid: one centre stone that holds the heart of the festival, with six stones around it. Use them on your altar, carry one in your pocket through the season, or set the grid out on the day and sit with it for a few quiet breaths.
The Wheel of the Year follows the turning seasons through eight festivals: the two solstices, the two equinoxes and the four old fire festivals between them. It is kept today by people of many paths as a way to live in step with the light, the land and the harvest.
Tumblestones are natural, so colour, size and pattern vary a little from set to set.
