What green aventurine is

Green aventurine is a quartz coloured by tiny flakes of fuchsite, a green mica. Those flakes catch the light and give the stone a soft shimmer known as aventurescence.

Aventurine is a quartz, around 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, so it is hard wearing. Stand your tower on a flat surface away from the edge of a shelf, and dust with a soft cloth. To cleanse, use sound, breath or moonlight.
