Choose your snow quartz sphere
- A, 70mm, 281g, £29. Soft milky white with clearer windows near the top and gentle frosted veils running through.
- B, 52mm, 209g, £29. The smallest of the three. Bright snowy white with fine lines and wisps inside that catch the light.
- C, 70mm, 258g, £29. Creamy white and frosted, with soft cloud shapes and a few clearer patches when held to the light.
Every piece is photographed on its own, and the letter in the dropdown matches the photos, so the snow quartz sphere you see is the one you receive.
What snow quartz is
Snow quartz, also called milky quartz, is quartz filled with countless tiny bubbles of fluid trapped as the crystal grew. These scatter the light and give the stone its soft white, frosted look, like fresh snow or a winter sky.
Held up to a window, each sphere shows its own mix of clear and cloudy areas, so no two look quite the same.
Traditional correspondences
Snow quartz is traditionally known as a gentle, calming stone, linked with the crown chakra and with peace, patience and quiet clarity. Where clear quartz is often thought of as bright and amplifying, snow quartz is seen as softer and more soothing.
Its white glow suits moon work and full moon altars, and the stillness of winter, Yule and Imbolc.
Correspondences are traditional and are offered as part of a practice, not as a substitute for medical or professional advice.
Caring for your snow quartz sphere
Quartz is 7 on the Mohs scale and handles everyday use well, but a sphere can chip if it rolls. Keep it on its stand and dust with a soft dry cloth. To cleanse, use sound, breath or moonlight.
What you receive
