Description
Selene goddess tumbler, a 20oz double walled stainless steel skinny tumbler printed all the way round with original Mystic Grove artwork. Her portrait sits on the front, her name and title, The moon herself, on the back, and between them the wrap is scattered with white horses, poppies and moons.
The pattern runs continuously around the tumbler with no hard edge, so it looks good from every side. It keeps a drink hot or cold for longer and travels well, so she can come with you through the day.
Who Selene is
Selene is the moon in Greek story, sister of Helios the sun and Eos the dawn. Each night she drives her silver chariot across the sky, pulled by white horses.
She fell in love with the shepherd Endymion, who was given an endless sleep so that she could visit him every night.
Her symbols on the Selene goddess tumbler
- White horses. The team that draws her chariot through the night.
- Poppies. Flowers of sleep and dreams.
- Moons. Selene herself, in every phase.
A Selene goddess tumbler for every day
A tumbler goes where you go, to work, on a walk or onto the altar for a moon water ritual. It is an easy way to keep Selene with you, and a lovely gift for anyone who follows her.
In modern practice she is often paired with selenite and moonstone, both named for the moon. She suits anyone who keeps the full moon.
Correspondences are traditional and offered as part of a practice, not as a substitute for medical or professional advice.
