Description

A selenite hex bowl carved by hand from natural gypsum, 10cm across the points. The mid size hex sits between the daily use 6cm and the statement 15cm, making her the most versatile hexagonal bowl in the Mystic Grove range. She holds a moderate sized crystal collection while keeping the geometric containment that distinguishes the hex shape.

Why the Hexagon Suits Selenite Charging Work

The six sided form has long been associated with structure, balance, and the patterns of the natural world. Bees build in hexagons because it is the most efficient packing of space, and the same logic informs why a selenite hex bowl makes a quietly powerful focal point on the altar. She gathers her contents into a clear, ordered structure.

Selenite is traditionally considered self cleansing, so the crystals she holds receive a gentle ongoing energetic reset. The hexagonal containment adds a sense of intentional arrangement, particularly useful for practitioners who work with grids, layouts, or structured manifestation practices.

How To Use Your Selenite Hex Bowl

Place the bowl on an altar, meditation surface, or desk where her geometric quality can hold a sense of focus. The 10cm size suits a moderate collection of tumbles, a small cluster, several pieces of crystal jewellery, or a written intention with supporting crystals.

For grid work, the six sided structure makes a natural anchor point. Place a clear quartz point or tumble at each of the bowl’s outer corners, with the central crystal or intention note resting inside her. Leave the arrangement undisturbed for the duration of your intention.

For new moon work, the hex bowl pairs beautifully with intention setting. Fold a short written intention into the bowl with one or two supporting crystals, and leave the arrangement in place until the next new moon.

Caring For Your Selenite Hex Bowl

Selenite is a soft gypsum mineral scoring 2 on the Mohs hardness scale. She is water soluble and will dissolve or pit if left in contact with moisture. Wipe gently with a dry soft cloth. Avoid placing damp items inside her. Keep her away from humid windows and never rinse her under a tap.

About Selenite

Selenite is a translucent crystallised form of gypsum, named after Selene, the Ancient Greek goddess of the moon. Most carved decorative selenite is technically satin spar, a fibrous variety prized for her luminous fibre optic glow. You can read more on the Mindat selenite mineral page.

Each Mystic Grove selenite bowl is hand finished and arrives with the natural variations in size, surface, and translucency that mark her as a one of a kind piece. Browse the full range of Cauldrons, Ritual and Offering Bowls.
