Description
Three Kings is a traditional resin blend named for the gifts carried to the stable, built around frankincense and myrrh. It burns rich, sweet and warming, the scent many people know from old churches at Christmas.
Frankincense and myrrh for Yule
This is the resin to reach for through the dark months, from Samhain to Yule and the winter solstice. Burn it to welcome the returning light, to cleanse the home before the festive season, or simply to fill a winter evening with something ancient.
How to burn resin incense
- Light a charcoal disc with tongs and rest it in a heatproof burner or cauldron filled with sand.
- Wait until the disc glows and turns grey at the edges.
- Place a pea sized piece of resin on top and let the smoke rise.
Burn in a well aired room, keep away from children and pets, and never leave burning resin unattended. Each tub holds around 50g; weights can vary slightly as resin is a natural material.
