Description
Coyolxauhqui goddess tumbler, a 20oz double walled stainless steel skinny tumbler printed all the way round with original Mystic Grove artwork. Her portrait sits on the front, her name and title, Golden Bells of the moon, on the back, and between them the wrap is scattered with golden bells, feathers and marigolds.
The pattern runs continuously around the tumbler with no hard edge, so it looks good from every side. It keeps a drink hot or cold for longer and travels well, so she can come with you through the day.
Who Coyolxauhqui is
Coyolxauhqui is the Aztec goddess of the moon, and her name means painted with bells. In the story she led her four hundred brothers, the stars, against their mother Coatlicue, and was defeated by her brother, the sun.
Her great carved stone was found in Mexico City in 1978.
Her symbols on the Coyolxauhqui goddess tumbler
- Golden bells. The bells on her cheeks that give her her name.
- Feathers. The ball of feathers at the heart of her mother’s story.
- Marigolds. Golden flowers honoured across Mexico, glowing like moonlight.
A Coyolxauhqui goddess tumbler for every day
A tumbler goes where you go, to work, on a walk or onto the altar for a moon water ritual. It is an easy way to keep Coyolxauhqui with you, and a lovely gift for anyone who follows her.
In modern practice she is often paired with moonstone and citrine, for the moon and her golden bells. She suits anyone drawn to the old stories of Mexico and the moon.
Correspondences are traditional and offered as part of a practice, not as a substitute for medical or professional advice.
