Description
A crystal owl carving, carved and polished from natural stone, with wide watchful eyes and softly carved feathers. These are our larger owls, from 6cm to a 10cm yooperlite owl of around 500g, solid and substantial on a shelf or altar. Choose from three stones, and the photos change to show the owl you will receive.
Choose your crystal owl stone
- Yooperlite (UV Reactive) 10cm: grey speckled stone that glows with bright orange sparks under a UV torch, thanks to fluorescent sodalite. A true night owl, linked with inner light and finding your way in the dark. £30.
- Jade 8cm: deep green jade, the stone of harmony, good fortune and wisdom. £22.
- Obsidian 6cm: natural volcanic glass, deep and glossy black. A traditional stone of protection and honest reflection, perfect for Samhain. £22.
Why an owl?
The owl sees clearly in the dark and flies without a sound, so it has long been linked with wisdom, intuition and seeing past illusion. In ancient Greece the little owl sat with Athena, goddess of wisdom. In Welsh myth, in the tales of the Mabinogion, Blodeuwedd is turned into an owl and becomes a creature of the night, and in many traditions the owl is a messenger between this world and the next. As the nights draw in towards Samhain on 31 October, the owl makes a natural companion for the darker half of the year, for reflection, dreams and inner knowing.
Ways to use your crystal owl
- Place it on your Samhain altar or beside your bed as a guardian through the night.
- Keep it near your tarot, oracle deck or journal as a companion for intuition.
- Hold it before sleep and breathe slowly, noticing its weight in your palm, as you ask for clear dreams.
- Give it as a gift for a student, a teacher or anyone who loves owls.
- Shine a UV torch on the yooperlite owl to watch it glow.
Good to know
- Price is for one owl in the stone you choose.
