Description
A small crystal skull, carved and polished, ready for your altar, windowsill or pocket. Choose from eight stones, each with its own character, and pick the one that speaks to you.
Why a skull?
The skull has long been a symbol of remembrance rather than fear. It reminds us that life is precious and that those who came before us are still part of our story. At Samhain, on 31 October, when the veil between the worlds is said to be at its thinnest, many people place a skull on their ancestor altar alongside a candle, a photograph or a keepsake. Skulls are also used through the year for reflection, meditation and quiet thought.
Choose your crystal skull stone
- Obsidian: natural volcanic glass, deep and glossy. A traditional stone of protection and honest reflection, and a favourite for Samhain and shadow work.
- Mahogany Obsidian: volcanic glass with warm red brown swirls from hematite. Grounding and steadying, linked with the root chakra and inner strength.
- Smoky Quartz: soft brown to grey quartz. Known for grounding, letting go and gentle protection, a natural fit for the turn into the darker half of the year.
- Rose Quartz: soft pink quartz, the stone of compassion and self love. Lovely for remembering loved ones with tenderness.
- Strawberry Quartz: pink quartz flecked with hematite and goethite. Associated with warmth, joy and an open heart.
- Moss Agate: green and white agate with fern like patterns. A stone of growth, nature and the harvest, linked with abundance and new beginnings.
- Clear Quartz: the classic crystal of clarity, used to amplify intentions and to cleanse and charge other stones.
- Golden Healer: quartz with a golden coating of limonite. Associated with warmth, vitality and the solar plexus chakra.
