Danu Goddess Tumbler, 20oz Skinny with Straw

Description

Danu goddess tumbler, a 20oz double walled stainless steel skinny tumbler printed all the way round with original Mystic Grove artwork. Her portrait sits on the front, her name and title, Mother of the waters, on the back, and between them the wrap is scattered with salmon, water lilies and reeds.

The pattern runs continuously around the tumbler with no hard edge, so it looks good from every side. It keeps a drink hot or cold for longer and travels well, so she can come with you through the day.

Who Danu is

Danu is remembered as the mother of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the old gods of Ireland, whose name means the people of Danu. Little of her own story survives, but she is honoured as the deep mother of the waters, the land and wisdom, and her name is often linked with rivers across Europe.

Her symbols on the Danu goddess tumbler

• Salmon. The fish of wisdom in Irish lore, swimming in her sacred waters.
• Water lilies. Beauty rising from still, deep water.
• Reeds. The river’s edge, where the land and the water meet.

A Danu goddess tumbler for every day

A tumbler goes where you go, to work, on a walk or onto the altar for a moon water ritual. It is an easy way to keep Danu with you, and a lovely gift for anyone who follows her.

In modern practice she is often paired with moonstone and aquamarine, the stones of water and flow. She suits anyone drawn to rivers, the sea and the old gods of Ireland.

Correspondences are traditional and offered as part of a practice, not as a substitute for medical or professional advice.
