Description
A small raven skull, carved and polished from natural stone, with a long curved beak and deep eye sockets. Each one measures approximately 5cm long and weighs around 24g, a lovely size to hold in the palm or tuck onto a small altar. Choose from five stones.
Why a raven?
Ravens and crows have been watched and wondered at for thousands of years. In Norse tradition the god Odin kept two ravens, Huginn and Muninn, whose names mean thought and memory, and who flew across the world each day bringing him news. In Celtic lore ravens are linked with the Morrigan, and at the Tower of London the ravens are still said to guard the kingdom. The raven is a messenger between worlds, a keeper of secrets and a guide through change. That makes the raven skull a natural fit for Samhain on 31 October, when the veil is said to be thin and we remember those who came before us.
Choose your raven skull stone
- Yooperlite: grey stone that glows with orange sparks under a UV torch, thanks to fluorescent sodalite. Associated with inner light and finding your way in the dark.
- Labradorite: grey green stone with flashes of blue and gold. Linked with intuition, magic and protection during spiritual work.
- Garnet in Matrix: deep wine red garnet set in its natural host rock. Linked with strength, grounding and the root chakra.
- Jade: deep green stone of harmony, good fortune and wisdom.
- Kiwi Jasper: soft sage green with dark speckles. Associated with nurturing, calm and a gentle connection to nature.
Ways to use your raven skull

- Hold it during reflection or journalling, running your thumb along the beak as you breathe slowly in and out.
