    So what does it mean when a crystal breaks? It happens to the best of us. You are holding your favourite piece of Rose Quartz, or perhaps wearing a cherished Fluorite pendant, and suddenly it snaps. It hits the floor and shatters, or simply cracks in your hand for no apparent reason.

    The sound of a crystal breaking can be heart stopping. Your immediate reaction is likely a mix of sadness, panic, and perhaps a little superstition. Questions race through your mind. Is this bad luck? Have I done something wrong? Is this a bad omen?

    Let us put your mind at rest. In the world of crystal energy, a broken stone is rarely a negative sign. In fact, it is usually a powerful message from the Universe.

    Think of your crystals like a sponge. As they travel from the deep earth to the miners, to the carvers, to the wholesalers, through packaging, and finally to your door, they pass through many hands and many environments. Along this journey, they can pick up various energetic debris.
