Description
These raw malachite pieces are natural specimens with a soft, velvety surface made of tiny radiating fibres. The colour is a deep forest green that shifts lighter as the fibres catch the light, and each one sits on a clear acrylic stand.
Choose your raw malachite
- A, 4.5cm, 66g, £32. A compact, rounded cluster of velvety green fibres, dense and full.
- B, 7cm, 87g, £38. More open, with a natural window through the middle and small pale patches of host rock.
Every piece is photographed on its own, and the letter in the dropdown matches the photos, so the raw malachite you see is the one you receive.
What malachite is
Malachite is a copper mineral, and its name comes from the Greek for mallow, a plant with leaves of the same green. It has been ground into green pigment since ancient Egypt. In its raw form it often grows as these soft, silky fibres rather than the banded stone you see polished.
Malachite meaning and traditional correspondences
In traditional practice malachite is a stone of transformation. It sits with the heart chakra and is kept when change is underway and you want to meet it with an open heart. Many people work with it alongside Scorpio and Capricorn.
Correspondences are traditional and are offered as part of a practice, not as a substitute for medical or professional advice.
Caring for raw malachite
Malachite is soft, around 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale, and raw fibrous pieces are delicate. Keep them dry, never put them in water, salt or crystal elixirs, and handle by the stand rather than the fibres.
Wash your hands after handling, and keep raw malachite out of reach of children and pets. Cleanse with sound, breath or moonlight.
What you receive
