Choose your volcano agate tower

• B, 28cm, 1178g, £54. Grey and white agate with dark crusted banding and cream patches. One side of the base keeps its natural edge, so you can see how the agate formed before it was polished.

Every tower is photographed on its own, and the letter in the dropdown matches the photos, so the volcano agate tower you see is the one you receive.

What volcano agate is

Volcano agate is a trade name for agate that formed in pockets of volcanic rock, which is where the dark crust and those patchy, layered markings come from. Each piece looks different, so the photographs show exactly what you are choosing.

Volcano agate meaning and traditional correspondences

In traditional practice agate is a steadying stone. It is kept for balance, patience and feeling settled when life is moving fast. Volcano agate leans towards the root chakra, and many people keep it for Capricorn energy, slow and sure.

A tower this size works well at the back of an altar, in a hallway, or anywhere you want a calm, steady presence in the room.

Correspondences are traditional and are offered as part of a practice, not as a substitute for medical or professional advice.

Caring for your volcano agate tower

Agate sits at around 7 on the Mohs scale and is hard wearing, but a tall tower can tip, so stand it on a flat surface away from busy edges and lift it from the base rather than the point. Cleanse with sound, breath or moonlight.
