Description
This raw hematoid quartz cluster, often sold as fire quartz, is 10cm tall and 180g. Clear and frosted quartz points crowd up one side, with a larger glassy point at the base, and the body is coloured a warm rust red by hematite. It has a flat natural base, so it stands upright like a tower even though it is completely raw.
Choose your hematoid quartz cluster
- A, 10cm, 180g, £30. Clear and frosted points over a rust red hematite body, standing upright on its own.
Every piece is photographed on its own, and the letter in the dropdown matches the photos, so the hematoid quartz cluster you see is the one you receive.
What hematoid quartz is
Hematoid quartz is quartz that grew alongside hematite, an iron mineral. The hematite gives the red, orange and rust tones, sometimes as a coating and sometimes trapped inside the crystal.
Fire quartz meaning and traditional correspondences
In traditional practice it brings together the clarity of quartz and the grounding of hematite. It sits with the root and sacral chakras and is kept for vitality, motivation and warmth. Many people work with it alongside Aries and Leo, and it suits Beltane and Litha altars.
Correspondences are traditional and are offered as part of a practice, not as a substitute for medical or professional advice.
Caring for your hematoid quartz cluster
Quartz is 7 on the Mohs scale, but raw points chip easily, so handle the cluster by its base. Avoid soaking it, as water can mark the hematite colouring. Cleanse with sound, breath or moonlight.
