Description
This selenite charging plate is a generous hexagonal plate, 18cm across and about 1.3kg, decorated with a Direction and Decision design. It is cut from natural selenite from Morocco, with a soft, silky sheen.
In crystal practice selenite is traditionally used to cleanse and recharge other stones. Simply rest your crystals, jewellery or tarot deck on the plate overnight, or between uses. Its size makes it a good centrepiece for an altar, with room for several tumblestones, a pendulum or a stack of bracelets. Many people use it while weighing up a choice, resting the crystals they are working with on it overnight.
How to use a selenite charging plate
- Place the plate somewhere it will not be knocked, such as an altar, windowsill or bedside table.
- Lay your crystals or jewellery on top and leave them for a few hours or overnight.
- Many people also set their plate out under the full moon.
Caring for selenite
Selenite is very soft and dissolves in water, so keep it dry and dust it with a soft, dry cloth. It can scratch or chip if dropped. Our guides on how to cleanse crystals and what it means when a crystal breaks have more on caring for your stones.
