Description

A round selenite charging bowl carved by hand from natural gypsum, 10cm in diameter. The round form is the most classic of all selenite bowl shapes, the one that most practitioners reach for when they first build a crystal practice. She is the workhorse of the range: simple, versatile, and effortlessly suited to almost any crystal practice you might bring her into.

Why a Round Selenite Charging Bowl Is the Classic Choice

The 10cm round selenite charging bowl is the size and shape most commonly recommended by experienced practitioners as a first selenite bowl. She holds a moderate crystal collection comfortably, fits on most bedside tables and altars without dominating the space, and works with every kind of crystal practice from the most casual to the most structured.

Selenite is traditionally considered self cleansing, which is why a selenite bowl has become a quiet workhorse in modern crystal practice. Resting your tumbles, rings, or bracelets inside the bowl allows their energy to be gently reset without further attention from you.

How To Use Your Round Selenite Bowl

Place the bowl on a bedside table, altar, dressing table, or desk where you will see her each day. Lay your crystal jewellery inside her each evening and lift it out fresh in the morning. Tumbles, single stones, and small clusters all sit comfortably inside.

The 10cm size also makes her a natural choice for displaying a small altar collection: a few tumbles you are currently working with, a pendulum, a single intention note. She holds enough to feel meaningful without becoming cluttered.

For Full Moon work, place a moonstone, labradorite, or selenite tumble inside her on the night of the Full Moon. For new moon work, fold a written intention into the bowl with one supporting crystal and leave her undisturbed.

Caring For Your Round Selenite Bowl

Selenite is a soft gypsum mineral scoring 2 on the Mohs hardness scale. She is water soluble and will dissolve, cloud, or pit if left in contact with moisture. Wipe gently with a dry soft cloth. Avoid placing damp items inside her. Keep her away from humid windows and never rinse her under a tap.

About Selenite

Selenite is a translucent crystallised form of gypsum, named after Selene, the Ancient Greek goddess of the moon. Most carved decorative selenite is technically satin spar, a fibrous variety prized for her luminous fibre optic glow. You can read more on the Mindat selenite mineral page.

Each Mystic Grove selenite bowl is hand finished and arrives with the natural variations in size, surface, and translucency that mark her as a one of a kind piece. Browse the full range of Cauldrons, Ritual and Offering Bowls.
