Beaver Moon 2026: Supermoon in Gemini on Tuesday 24 November, Meaning and Ritual

The Beaver Moon 2026 is a supermoon in Gemini on Tuesday 24 November: when to see it, what it means, and a ritual for saying what has gone unsaid

    The next full moon

    Tuesday 24 November 2026 at 2.54pm

UK time (GMT). Look east at moonrise on Tuesday evening. Work with it from Monday to Wednesday night.

November’s full moon is the Beaver Moon, and in 2026 it is a supermoon, one of three this year, looking a little bigger and brighter than usual as it rises over the rooftops. The exact moment falls in the middle of Tuesday afternoon, so the moment to look up is as it rises in the east around sunset that evening. This year it sits in Gemini, the sign of the twins, opposite a Sagittarius Sun. It is a full moon for clearing your head, saying the thing you have been meaning to say, and thanking the people who make your days lighter.

Last year’s Beaver Moon fell on 5 November 2025, in Taurus. Full moon dates move from year to year because the Moon’s month is a little shorter than our calendar months, so always check the year at the top of a moon guide. Our moon guides are sorted by year to make that easy.

    What Is a Supermoon?

The Moon’s path around the Earth is not a perfect circle. Once a month it swings a little closer to us, and once a month a little further away. A supermoon is simply a full moon that happens when the Moon is near its closest point. It can look a little larger and noticeably brighter than an ordinary full moon, especially as it rises low on the horizon, framed by trees and buildings.

The difference is real but gentle, so do not expect the Moon to fill the sky. The best way to enjoy it is to watch it rise: step outside around 4pm on Tuesday, face east, and wait for the first gold edge to appear.

The one thing to remember. The exact moment is 2.54pm on Tuesday, in daylight, when the Moon is still below our horizon. That does not matter. The full moon is worked across three days, and Tuesday evening, as it rises, is the best moment of all. Monday and Wednesday evenings are fine too.

Why Is It Called the Beaver Moon?

There are two stories, and no one is quite sure which came first. One says this was the month to set beaver traps before the rivers froze, when beavers had their thickest winter fur. The other says it is named after the beavers themselves, busy building and mending their dams and lodges before winter. Its other name, the Frost Moon, needs no explaining on a November night in Britain.

The names were popularised by American farmers’ almanacs in the twentieth century, drawing on a mixture of Native American, colonial and European names. There is a nice British twist this year. Beavers were hunted out of Britain hundreds of years ago, and after a long absence they are now back on some of our rivers, quietly building again. The Beaver Moon is a good reminder that things which seem gone for good can return.

What the Full Moon in Gemini Means

Every full moon happens when the Moon is in the sign opposite the Sun. In late November the Sun has just moved into Sagittarius, the sign of the big picture and the long journey, so the full moon sits across the sky in Gemini, the sign of the twins. Gemini is an air sign ruled by Mercury, the planet of words, messages and quick thinking. It loves conversation, curiosity, learning, brothers and sisters, friends and neighbours.

So this is a talkative, busy full moon. Gemini brings things into the open, the thoughts going round and round in your head, the messages you have meant to send, the conversation you keep rehearsing. Sagittarius, across the sky, asks what it all means. The Beaver Moon in Gemini is a good time to clear the mental clutter, say what needs saying kindly, and thank the people who keep you company.

Gemini says it. Sagittarius asks what it means. The full moon lets you hear both.

    A Tuesday full moon

This year it falls on a Tuesday, the day of Mars, the planet of courage. In the old correspondences Tuesday is good for courage, energy and facing personal struggles, and its colour is red. Red is a strong colour to use, so many people pair it with white, which can stand in for any colour. A Tuesday Gemini moon is a brave one for honest words.

    The story behind the sky

Gemini is the sign of twins, and the Greek goddess of the Moon, Artemis, had a twin of her own: Apollo, who was linked with the Sun. At a full moon, the Sun and Moon stand on opposite sides of the sky, like twins facing each other across a room. It is a lovely picture for a Gemini full moon: two sides of one family, each lighting what the other cannot. It is a story, not a history, but a good one for a long November evening.

Crystals for the Beaver Moon in Gemini

The traditional full moon stone is sunstone, and clear quartz is the classic stone to charge in its light. For this particular moon, these seven small tumblestones carry Gemini’s words and Sagittarius’s courage.

    Blue Lace Agate

Soft blue and gently banded, the classic stone for calm, honest speech. It holds the centre of this month’s grid.

    Sodalite

Deep blue with white streaks, traditionally linked with clear and logical thought. It belongs with Gemini’s busy mind.

    Howlite

White with fine grey veins, like a clean page. Howlite is a calming stone for quieting the chatter long enough to know what you think.

    Green Fluorite

Glassy and green, fluorite is known as a stone of order and focus, kept for sorting a cluttered head.

    Tiger’s Eye

Golden brown and shimmering, a stone of steady confidence, for the Sagittarius side: trusting your own view of the bigger picture.

    Goldstone

Goldstone is a glass made by people, sparkling with copper, not a natural stone, and we always say so. It has long been a favourite for optimism and adventure, which suits Sagittarius well.

    Red Jasper

Warm brick red, the colour of Mars and of this Tuesday moon. Red jasper is a steady, grounding stone for courage that does not shout.

The Twin Pillars Grid for the Beaver Moon

The symbol for Gemini looks like two pillars joined at the top and bottom, so this grid is laid as two pillars of three stones, with a focus stone between them. One pillar holds Gemini’s words; the other holds Sagittarius’s courage and meaning.

MYSTIC GROVE · THE TWIN PILLARS GRID WORDS · GEMINI COURAGE · SAGITTARIUS Focus Blue Lace Agate 1 2 3 4 5 6 Sodalite Howlite Green Fluorite Tiger’s Eye Goldstone Red Jasper Two pillars joined top and bottom, like the Gemini symbol THE TWIN PILLARS GRID Focus 1 2 3 4 5 6 Focus: Blue Lace Agate Words: 1 Sodalite, 2 Howlite, 3 Green Fluorite Courage: 4 Tiger’s Eye, 5 Goldstone, 6 Red Jasper
The Twin Pillars Grid. Blue lace agate stands between the two pillars, joined to every stone; the pillars are joined to each other at the top and bottom.

    The Focus Stone

Blue Lace Agate, the voice between

The centre stone stands between the two pillars and speaks for both, so it carries calm, honest words. If you would rather, sodalite works well in the centre for a grid about thinking something through. If you have a small clear quartz point, stand it in the centre pointing upwards; and if you have neither, any clear quartz will do.

    The Pillar of Words

1 Sodalite, 2 Howlite and 3 Green Fluorite

Gemini’s pillar. Sodalite for clear thinking, howlite for quiet, and green fluorite for order. Together they turn a racing mind into something you can actually say.

    The Pillar of Courage

    4 Tiger’s Eye, 5 Goldstone and 6 Red Jasper

Sagittarius’s pillar, with a Tuesday touch. Tiger’s eye for confidence, goldstone for optimism, and red jasper for the steady Mars courage to speak up.

How this grid connects. There are no Way Stones in the Twin Pillars Grid. The stones in each pillar are joined top to bottom in a line, and the tops and bottoms of the two pillars are joined across, just like the Gemini symbol. Every pillar stone is also joined straight to the focus stone. Lay the centre first, then the pillar of words from top to bottom, then the pillar of courage from top to bottom.

A Beaver Moon Ritual: Say What Has Gone Unsaid

About twenty minutes, any evening from Monday to Wednesday, ideally Tuesday as the Moon rises. If you can, step outside or open a window first and listen for a minute: traffic, wind, a far off dog. Gemini is the sign of sound and talk, so this ritual works through your voice.

    What you need

    The practice

    1. Settle. Sit down and breathe out with a long, quiet hum, feeling it buzz in your chest. Do this five times. Humming is a simple way to quiet a busy Gemini mind.
    2. Light the candles. Light the white first, then the red. Say quietly: “Two flames, one voice.”
    3. Build the grid. Place the blue lace agate first, then each pillar from top to bottom, naming each stone as it goes down.
    4. Write the unsent letter. Write to someone, or to yourself, everything you have been holding back. No one will read it, so do not be polite. Keep going until it runs out.
    5. Read it aloud. Read the whole letter out loud once, at a normal speaking voice. Hearing your own words is often where the release happens.
    6. Let it go. Light the letter from the white candle and let it burn in the heatproof dish, or tear it into tiny pieces for the outside bin. Say: “Said and done.”
    7. Send one thank you. Now pick up your phone and send one short, real message of thanks to a friend, brother, sister or neighbour. Gemini rules all of them.
    8. Close. Snuff both candles, the red first. Leave the grid in place until the New Moon in Sagittarius on 9 December.

    Charging Crystals Under the Supermoon

A supermoon is a lovely night to refresh your crystals. Set them on a windowsill or in a bowl outside on Tuesday night and bring them in before the morning sun. Remember that pyrite, lapis lazuli, selenite, opal and hematite should be kept away from salt and water, and that amethyst, celestite and turquoise can fade in strong sunlight. Our guide to how to cleanse crystals has the full list, and our moon water guide covers making full moon water.

Full moon dates move from year to year because the Moon’s month is a little shorter than our calendar months, so always check the year at the top of a moon guide. Our moon guides are sorted by year to make that easy.

What Is a Full Moon? Start Here

If you are new to the moon, welcome. A full moon is simply the night the Moon sits on the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun, so the whole face we can see is lit. It rises in the east as the Sun sets in the west, and it is up all night long. It comes round roughly every 29 and a half days, about two weeks after each new moon.

The new moon is the month’s beginning, a time for setting an intention. The full moon is its high point. It is traditionally the strongest phase of the whole cycle, a time to see what has grown, to give thanks for it, and to release whatever has not worked. Many people also set crystals out in its light to refresh them.

The one thing to remember. The exact moment is 4.12am on Monday, while most of us are asleep. You do not need to be awake for it. The full moon is worked across three days, so Sunday evening, Monday evening or even Tuesday are all fine. Choose the evening that is calmest for you.

Why Is It Called the Hunter’s Moon?

The Hunter’s Moon is the name given to the full moon that follows the Harvest Moon. In autumn the Moon rises at almost the same time for several evenings in a row, so its light arrives just as daylight fades, night after night. With the fields cut and empty, it was said to be the moon for hunting and for laying in meat before winter, and it was kept as a feast night in many places.

Some of its other names, the Blood Moon and the Sanguine Moon, come from the same idea of the autumn hunt. That can be confusing, because Blood Moon is also the popular name for a total lunar eclipse, when the Moon turns a coppery red. This year’s Hunter’s Moon is not an eclipse. It will look like a bright, ordinary full moon, often with a warm golden or orange tint as it rises low over the horizon.

The honest history of the moon names

The phrase Hunter’s Moon has been in use in English since at least the early 1700s, and the Harvest Moon is older still. The tidy list of a name for every month, from the Wolf Moon in January to the Cold Moon in December, is more recent. It was popularised by American farmers’ almanacs in the twentieth century, drawing on a mixture of Native American, colonial and European names. Different peoples used different names, and many still do. We use the familiar list because it is the one most people know, and because it ties each moon to what is happening in the land.

What the Full Moon in Taurus Means

Every full moon happens when the Moon is in the sign opposite the Sun. In late October the Sun is in Scorpio, the sign of depth and endings, so the full moon lands across the sky in Taurus, the sign of comfort, the senses and the things we value. Taurus is an earth sign ruled by Venus. Traditional astrology has long said the Moon is at its happiest in Taurus, calm, steady and at home.

So this is a gentle full moon, and a practical one. It sits between two questions. Taurus asks: what is good in my life, and how do I look after it? Scorpio asks: what is finished, and can I let it go? The Hunter’s Moon in Taurus is a lovely time to do both at once: to give thanks for what you are keeping, and to put down what you are not.

Taurus keeps. Scorpio lets go. The Hunter’s Moon sits in the doorway between them and asks you to choose.

    A Monday full moon

This year it falls on a Monday, the day named after the Moon itself. In the old correspondences Monday belongs to home, family, peace, intuition and protection, and its colours are white, lavender and grey. A white candle is ideal, and white can stand in for any colour if that is what you have.

    The story behind the sky

In Greek myth, the Moon was Selene, who drove her silver chariot across the night sky. In some tellings it was pulled by white horses, and in others by a pair of white bulls, their horns curved like the crescent. It is a pleasing picture for a full moon in Taurus, the sign of the bull: the Moon, at her fullest, driving her bulls slowly over the autumn fields. It is a story, not a history, but it is a good one to tell on a long October night.

Crystals for the Hunter’s Moon in Taurus

The traditional full moon stone is sunstone, and clear quartz is the classic stone to charge in its light. For this particular moon, these seven small tumblestones carry the Taurus side, gratitude and steadiness, and the Scorpio side, release, in one set that fits in your hand.

    Unakite

Green and pink speckled together, the two colours of Venus, the ruler of Taurus. Unakite is traditionally a stone of patience and of things growing in their own time. It holds the centre of this month’s grid.

    Tiger’s Eye

Golden brown with a silky shimmer, like a field at harvest. Tiger’s eye is a stone of steady confidence, kept here for the good things you have worked for and want to keep.

    Rose Quartz

The gentle pink heart stone, long linked with Venus. It belongs on the gratitude side, for the people and the comforts you are thankful for.

    Mookaite

A warm jasper in reds, creams and mustard yellows. Mookaite is an earthy, here and now stone, kept for enjoying what is in front of you rather than waiting for something better.

    Snowflake Obsidian

Black volcanic glass scattered with soft grey flowers. Snowflake obsidian is the classic stone for gently letting go, and it carries the Scorpio side of this moon.

    Black Obsidian

Glassy and dark, obsidian is a protective stone, kept for drawing a clear line under something that is done.

    Chevron Amethyst

Purple and white in bold stripes. Amethyst is a calming stone for the quiet after a release, when the space feels new and a little unfamiliar.

The Doorway Grid for the Hunter’s Moon

This grid is laid like a doorway between two rooms. The focus stone sits in the centre, the threshold. Three stones to one side hold what you are keeping and giving thanks for. Three stones to the other side hold what you are releasing.

MYSTIC GROVE · THE DOORWAY GRID KEEP · TAURUS RELEASE · SCORPIO Focus Unakite 1 Tiger’s Eye 2 Rose Quartz 3 Mookaite 4 Snowflake Obsidian 5 Black Obsidian 6 Chevron Amethyst Keep on the left, release on the right, the threshold in the middle THE DOORWAY GRID KEEP RELEASE Focus 1 2 3 4 5 6 Focus: Unakite Keep: 1 Tiger’s Eye, 2 Rose Quartz, 3 Mookaite Release: 4 Snowflake Obsidian, 5 Black Obsidian, 6 Chevron Amethyst
The Doorway Grid. Unakite holds the threshold; the keeping stones sit on one side and the releasing stones on the other, each joined straight to the centre.

    The Focus Stone

    Unakite, the threshold

The centre is where both sides meet, so it carries the heart of the work: patience with yourself while one thing ends and another settles in. Unakite sits here for its two Venus colours, a nod to Taurus. If you would rather, rose quartz works well in the centre for a gentler, gratitude led grid. If you have a small clear quartz point, stand it in the centre pointing upwards; and if you have neither, any clear quartz will do.

    The Keeping Side

    1 Tiger’s Eye, 2 Rose Quartz and 3 Mookaite

Placed in an arc on one side of the centre. Tiger’s eye holds what you have earned, rose quartz holds who you love, and mookaite holds the simple pleasures of now. Each is set down with a word of thanks.

    The Releasing Side

4 Snowflake Obsidian, 5 Black Obsidian and 6 Chevron Amethyst

Placed in an arc on the other side. Snowflake obsidian loosens what you are letting go, black obsidian closes the door on it, and chevron amethyst brings calm to the space it leaves behind.

How this grid connects. There are no Way Stones in the Doorway Grid. Each of the six stones is joined directly to the focus stone by its own straight line, so everything passes through the threshold. Lay the centre first, then the three keeping stones, then the three releasing stones, saying each one’s purpose out loud as it goes down.

A Hunter’s Moon Ritual for Letting Go and Giving Thanks

About twenty minutes, on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday evening. If you can step outside, or open a window to the moonlight, so much the better. Some people like to picture the moonlight filling the room; others prefer to listen to the quiet and feel the cold air on their face. Both work beautifully.

    What you need

    The practice

    1. Settle. Sit somewhere quiet. Breathe in slowly for a count of four, hold for a moment, and breathe out for a count of six. Do this five times, and let your shoulders drop.
    2. Light the candle. As the flame catches, say quietly: “I light this for the Hunter’s Moon.”
    3. Write what you keep. On the first slip, list three to five things from this year you are grateful for. Read each one aloud.
    4. Write what you release. On the second slip, list what you are ready to put down: a worry, a habit, a grudge, a plan that has run its course. Read it aloud once, clearly. Do not make a copy.
    5. Build the grid. Place the unakite first. Lay the three keeping stones on one side, then the three releasing stones on the other, naming each one as it goes down.
    6. Let it go. Light the release list from the candle and drop it into the heatproof dish to burn. Listen to it crackle. If you would rather not use flame, tear it into small pieces and put it straight in the outside bin.
    7. Give thanks. Fold the gratitude slip and tuck it under the unakite. Say: “Thank you, Moon, for what has grown. I keep what is good and I let go of what is done.”
    8. Close. Snuff the candle rather than blowing it out. Leave the grid in place until the New Moon in Scorpio on 9 November, then keep the gratitude slip in your notebook.

Charging Crystals Under the Hunter’s Moon

The full moon is the traditional time to refresh crystals. Set them on a windowsill or outside in a bowl on Sunday or Monday night and bring them in before the morning sun. A few stones do not like what usually comes next: keep pyrite, lapis lazuli, selenite, opal and hematite away from salt and water, and bring amethyst, celestite and turquoise in before strong sunlight, as they can fade. Our guide to how to cleanse crystals has the full list.

Full moon water is made the same way, in a clean glass jar left out overnight. Our moon water guide covers how to make it and the times to avoid.

Questions People Ask About the Hunter’s Moon

When is the Hunter’s Moon in 2026?

The exact full moon is at 4.12am UK time (GMT) on Monday 26 October 2026. The best evening to see it is Sunday 25 October, when it rises full around sunset and is up all night. It still looks full on Monday evening.

What time does the Hunter’s Moon rise?

A full moon rises in the east at about the same time the Sun sets in the west. Over the Hunter’s Moon weekend, sunset is around half past four to five o’clock across the UK, now that the clocks have gone back. Look east from then on.

Is the Hunter’s Moon a supermoon this year?

No. The 2026 Hunter’s Moon is a normal full moon. The next supermoon is the Beaver Moon in Gemini, at 2.54pm on Tuesday 24 November 2026.

Is the Hunter’s Moon a Blood Moon?

One of its old names is the Blood Moon, from the autumn hunt. But this year it is not a lunar eclipse, which is the other meaning of Blood Moon. It may look orange or golden as it rises because of the low angle, and it will turn silver as it climbs.

What should I do on the Hunter’s Moon?

Traditionally the full moon is for gratitude, release and charging crystals. The ritual above does all three in about twenty minutes.

Is this the same as last year’s Hunter’s Moon?

No. Last year’s fell on 7 October 2025. The guide you are reading is for 2026.

The Full Moon in Aries 2026: the Harvest Moon that asks what you want

The Full Moon in Aries arrives on Saturday 26 September 2026, three days after the autumn equinox, and it is this year’s Harvest Moon. It lights up the oldest question in the zodiac, which is simply this: what do I want, and how much of myself do I give away to keep the peace?

    • Close company: the Moon sits within a degree of Neptune, and meets Saturn later in the evening
    • Ruling planet: Mars, on the very last degree of Cancer

What the Full Moon in Aries Means

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. It is cardinal fire, ruled by Mars, and it carries the energy of the first push of a seed through the soil. Aries does not wait to be asked. It knows what it wants and it goes.

Every full moon is an opposition. The Moon sits on one side of the Earth and the Sun sits on the other, and the two signs involved pull against each other like two ends of a rope. This month the Sun has just entered Libra, the sign of partnership, fairness and keeping things pleasant. The Moon stands in Aries, the sign of the self. So the rope runs between me and we.

If you have spent the summer bending around other people’s plans, this full moon tends to make that visible. Small irritations can turn out to be old ones. A request you would usually say yes to may land differently. That is not a sign that anything has gone wrong. It is the light doing what full moon light does, showing what has been growing in the dark.

Libra asks what is fair. Aries asks whether you are still in the room.

The aim is not to pick a side. Nobody thrives on pure Aries, all push and no listening, and nobody thrives on pure Libra either, all harmony and no self. This lunation asks for an honest look at where the balance sits for you right now, and a gentle correction if it has tipped too far.

    The Harvest Moon in Aries

Because it falls so close to the equinox, this full moon also carries the title of Harvest Moon. There is something fitting about that. The harvest is the season of counting what came in. The Aries Moon asks you to count yourself among it.

With the date reducing to 9, the number of endings and completion in numerology, the whole weekend leans towards gathering in and closing off rather than starting something new. Aries energy will still be there, so you may feel restless to act. Use that energy to finish, clear and decide.

The Astrology of This Aries Full Moon

Three pieces of this year’s chart make the Full Moon in Aries 2026 different from an ordinary one.

    The Moon beside Neptune

Neptune settled into Aries this year, a sign it last passed through in the 1860s and 1870s, and the Moon culminates almost on top of it. Neptune softens edges. It brings intuition, longing and imagination, and it can also bring fog. Some people will feel this full moon as tender and dreamy rather than fiery. If your certainty keeps slipping, that is Neptune. Write your thoughts down rather than trusting them to memory, and give big decisions a few days to settle.

    Saturn joins in later

Saturn is also travelling through Aries this year, and the Moon reaches it later in the evening. Saturn is the planet of structure, patience and consequence. Its presence steadies the fire. Whatever you decide under this moon, Saturn asks you to decide it in a way you can actually keep. And because the full moon falls on a Saturday, Saturn’s own day, that note sounds twice.

Mars on the last degree of Cancer

Mars rules Aries, so its position colours the whole lunation. At the time of the full moon it sits on the final degree of Cancer, a water sign that feels its way rather than charging. Emotions are likely to rise to the surface before any clear action does. Let them. The action will follow more cleanly once the feeling has been heard.

The Honest History of the Harvest Moon

Many moon names you see online, such as the Buck Moon, the Sturgeon Moon or the Beaver Moon, come from North American almanac lists and only reached British use recently. The Harvest Moon is different. It is a genuinely English phrase, and the Oxford English Dictionary traces its earliest written evidence to the early 1700s, in the writing of the hymn writer Isaac Watts. You can read the dictionary entry here.

The name is tied to something you can check in the sky. According to the Royal Observatory Greenwich, the Harvest Moon is the full moon closest to the autumn equinox, which this year fell at 1.06am BST on 23 September. Around the equinox the Moon rises at a shallow angle to the horizon, so for several evenings in a row it comes up soon after sunset rather than almost an hour later each night. Before electric light, that run of bright early evenings gave farmers extra hours to bring the crops in.

The low rising Moon often looks orange or amber. That colour is not special to the Harvest Moon. It comes from moonlight passing through more of the atmosphere near the horizon, the same effect that turns a setting sun red. It is still a beautiful thing to stand and watch.

The autumn equinox is also marked on the Wheel of the Year, the eight point seasonal calendar kept today by people of many paths and none, from witches and nature lovers to gardeners and anyone who simply likes to live closer to the turning seasons. Many know this point as Mabon. The name itself is modern, chosen in the 1970s and borrowed from a figure in Welsh story, while the habit of giving thanks as the harvest comes in is far older and shared across cultures. However you mark it, it belongs to everyone who pauses to notice the light changing. For more on the season itself, our autumn equinox guide sits alongside this post.

Crystals for the Full Moon in Aries

Aries stones are traditionally warm, red and orange, the colours of iron and fire. Libra, on the other side of the axis, is Venus ruled and softer. A good crystal set for this full moon holds both ends of the rope.

    Carnelian

An orange chalcedony coloured by iron oxide and one of the oldest worked gemstones. Carnelian is the traditional stone of courage and creative drive, the plainest expression of Aries fire. Find it in our carnelian collection.

    Red jasper

Red jasper carries the same colour as carnelian with a quite different feel. It is opaque, dense and slow, a stone of stamina and steadiness. Where carnelian says go, red jasper says keep going. That makes it a natural match for Saturn in Aries.

    Bloodstone

Deep green flecked with red, bloodstone has an old association with courage and is traditionally linked with the start of the zodiac year. It holds Aries bravery with a calmer, earthier temper.

    Rose quartz

The Libra end of the axis. Rose quartz is the classic Venus stone of warmth, kindness and relationship. On this full moon it reminds you that choosing yourself does not mean closing your heart.

    Clear quartz

The great amplifier and the stone of clarity. With Neptune so close to the Moon, clear quartz helps cut through the fog and keeps your intention sharp.

    Sunstone

Warm, golden and cheerful, sunstone is linked with confidence and self worth. It suits the part of this full moon that asks you to stop waiting for permission.

The Me and We Crystal Grid

This grid is built along the Aries and Libra axis itself. It uses nine stones, matching the 9 of the date, and every first choice is something ordinary and easy to find.

The Me and We Grid. Solid lines run from the carnelian centre to the four red jasper Way Stones. Dashed lines show the Way Stones carrying that current out to the four outer stones, with bloodstone at the Aries end and rose quartz at the Libra end.

    The Focus Stone

    First choice: carnelian tumblestone

Carnelian sits at the centre because this is an Aries full moon and the centre holds the intention. Its job here is courage, the push to say what you want out loud. A tumblestone is ideal because you can hold it during the ritual, then set it down in the centre so the grid starts with the warmth of your hand.

If you have a crystal point

A point makes a lovely centre if you have one. Stand it upright in the middle of the grid, tip facing up, so it gathers the circuit and sends your intention outward. A carnelian point is the natural match, but any point you already own and feel drawn to will work. Keep your carnelian tumblestone to hold during the ritual and place the point once you are ready to set the grid.

If you have no carnelian: clear quartz

Clear quartz takes the centre happily, as a tumblestone or a point. It is neutral, so it carries whatever you give it. Speak your intention aloud as you place it, so the stone holds your words rather than a colour correspondence.

    Alternative: sunstone tumblestone

Sunstone changes the tone. Carnelian is about the courage to act. Sunstone is about believing you deserve to. If your question is less about speaking up and more about feeling worthy of asking, move sunstone to the centre and put a carnelian or clear quartz tumblestone in the south position instead.

The four red jasper tumblestones are the Way Stones, and they connect the whole circuit. None of the outer stones receives from the carnelian directly. Everything passes through the red jasper first.

What they carry is the carnelian’s fire, but they slow it down. Red jasper takes that quick Aries spark and turns it into steady heat, the Saturn lesson of this lunation. By the time the energy reaches the outer ring it is courage you can sustain rather than a flare that burns out by Tuesday.

No red jasper? Use four clear quartz tumblestones and say the word “steady” aloud as you place each one.

    The Outer Stones

West, the Aries end: bloodstone tumblestone

Bloodstone sits at the self end of the axis. It holds your own needs with calm conviction rather than defensiveness. If you are short of bloodstone, a second carnelian tumblestone or a red jasper works here.

East, the Libra end: rose quartz tumblestone

Rose quartz sits opposite, at the end that stands for the people you love and share your life with. Placing both ends in one grid makes the point of the whole practice. You are not choosing between them. You are finding a fairer line between them. A clear quartz tumblestone can stand in if needed.

    North: clear quartz tumblestone

Clear quartz at the north holds clarity against the Neptune fog. A tumblestone is all you need. If you have a small clear quartz point, lay it with the tip facing outward so it sends out whatever the grid releases.

    South: sunstone tumblestone

Sunstone at the south anchors self worth, the warm permission to take up space. A carnelian tumblestone can replace it.

Stone count: one Focus Stone, four Way Stones and four outer stones, nine in total.

If you are short of stones: place one carnelian or clear quartz in the centre and a single clear quartz at each end of an imaginary line running left to right. Say “this is mine” as you place the left stone and “this is shared” as you place the right. Three stones, spoken clearly, still hold the axis. For more on laying a circuit, see our guide on how to build and wire a crystal grid.

A Simple Full Moon in Aries Ritual

If you have ten quiet minutes and very little else, this is enough. It follows the traditional full moon pattern of release and gratitude.

    • Light one candle. A red candle suits Aries best, but any candle you have will hold the moment.
    • Hold one stone. A carnelian tumblestone if you have one, or clear quartz if you do not. Rest it against your breastbone.
    • Breathe. In for four, out for six, five times. Let your shoulders drop on each out breath.
    • Say one sentence out loud. Begin it with “I choose” and finish it with something you want for yourself. Say it twice.
    • Let one thing go. Say out loud one habit you are ready to put down, then blow gently across the stone as if clearing dust from it.
    • Close. Snuff the candle and place the stone where the moonlight can reach it overnight.

A Deeper Aries Full Moon Ritual

When you have a full evening to give it, this longer ritual brings in the grid, two candles and a release by fire. Like the simple version, it follows the traditional shape of full moon release.

    What you need

    • Your grid stones, or the three stone version above
    • Two candles: one red, for the Aries side, and one pink, for the Libra side. Our spell candles include red root candles and pink friendship candles that suit this well
    • A singing bowl, a bell or anything that rings clearly. Our singing bowls include moon phase designs
    • A pen and a small piece of paper
    • A heatproof dish or small cauldron, if you want to burn what you release

    The practice

    1. Arrive

Sit with your feet flat on the floor. Strike the bowl once and listen to the note until it has fully faded. The silence after the sound is part of the practice. Let your breath slow into it.

    2. Light the two sides

Light the red candle on your left and say, “This is for me.” Light the pink candle on your right and say, “This is for the people I love.” Notice whether one sentence feels easier to say than the other. That difference is useful information.

    3. Hold the fire

Pick up your carnelian and hold it against your breastbone. Breathe in through the nose for a count of four and out through the mouth for a count of six, five times. Each time you breathe out, let your shoulders drop a little. Feel the stone warm to your skin.

    4. Speak what you want

Still holding the stone, say out loud, in one sentence, something you want for yourself that you have been putting second. Keep it plain and specific. Aries does not do waffle. Say it a second time, a little louder. Feel where the words land in your body, whether in the throat, chest or belly.

    5. Write what you are releasing

On the paper, write one habit of self abandonment you are ready to put down. It might be saying yes before you have checked with yourself, or apologising for having a preference. Fold the paper away from you.

    6. Release by fire

If it is safe to do so, light the folded paper from the red candle and let it burn in the heatproof dish. Otherwise tear it into small pieces. Strike the bowl again as it burns and listen until the sound is gone.

    7. Set the grid

Place the carnelian in the centre. Lay the four red jasper Way Stones around it, saying “steady” with each one. Then place the outer stones: bloodstone to the left with “me”, rose quartz to the right with “we”, clear quartz at the top and sunstone at the bottom.

    8. Close

Strike the bowl a final time. Snuff the candles rather than blowing them out, and leave the grid in place for about a week, until the Moon reaches its last quarter.

Never leave a burning candle or smouldering paper unattended, and keep flames away from anything that can catch.

Making Full Moon in Aries Moon Water

Moon water is simply water left out under the full moon and kept for later use. Many people make a fresh jar at every full moon and give each one the flavour of the sign it was made in. Aries moon water is traditionally kept for courage, fresh starts and anything that needs a little fire behind it.

    • Use clean water in a glass jar with a lid. Tap water or spring water both work. The lid keeps out insects and dust.
    • Speak your intention over it. Hold the jar in both hands, feel its weight and coolness, and say what you want the water to hold. For this moon, something as simple as “courage” is plenty.
    • Set it out after moonrise. Tonight the Moon rises around half past six. A windowsill, doorstep or garden all work, and cloud does not stop the practice.
    • Bring it in before sunrise and label it with the date and the sign.
    • Use it with care. Add a splash to a ritual bath, water your plants with it, anoint a candle, or wipe down your altar. Only drink it if you used drinking water and a clean container, and never leave crystals sitting in water you intend to drink.

Some crystals should never go into water at all. Selenite dissolves, and several softer or metallic stones can be damaged or can leach into the water. If you want a crystal involved, stand it beside the jar or on the lid rather than inside. There is more on this in our guide to moon water and lunar elixirs.

Cleansing and Charging Your Crystals at the Full Moon

The full moon is the traditional night to clear your crystals of everything they have been holding and give them a fresh start. A Harvest Moon, with its sense of gathering in and clearing out, suits it especially well.

    Cleanse first

    • Sound. Strike a singing bowl or bell beside your stones and let the note run until it fades completely. Repeat three times. This is gentle, safe for every stone, and one of the easiest methods if you work by feel and sound.
    • Selenite. Rest your stones on a selenite bowl or charging plate overnight. Keep selenite itself away from water.
    • Smoke. Pass each stone slowly through the smoke of incense, with a window open.

    Then charge

Lay your cleansed stones on a windowsill or outdoors where the moonlight can reach them, from moonrise tonight until morning. Hold each one briefly as you set it down and say what you would like it to help with over the coming month. Bring them in before strong sunlight, since some stones, rose quartz and amethyst among them, can fade in the sun.

For a fuller walk through, see our guides on how to cleanse crystals and how to charge and programme your crystals.

Things to Do This Full Moon Weekend

    • Finish something. With the date adding up to 9, this is a weekend for completing rather than starting. Pick one loose end and tie it off.
    • Say one honest no. Aries opposite Libra is the perfect moment to decline one thing you would normally agree to out of habit.
    • Ask for one thing you want. Keep it small and clear. Practising the asking matters more than the size of the request.
    • Clear a space. Tidy your altar, a shelf or a drawer. Clearing out is harvest work.
    • Step outside after moonrise. Stand for a few minutes, feel the cooler autumn air on your skin and listen to the evening. Saturn sits close to the Moon tonight if the sky is clear.
    • Move your body. Aries is a physical sign. A brisk walk, a dance around the kitchen or some stretching helps burn off restless energy.
    • Hold off on big decisions until Monday. With Neptune beside the Moon, give strong feelings a day or two to settle before you act on them.
    • Give thanks for the harvest. Say out loud three things that came good for you since the spring.

  • Crystals and a Grid for the Full Moon Before Lughnasadh

Crystals and a Grid for the Full Moon Before Lughnasadh

A grounded guide to the 29 July full moon, the crystals for it, a grid circuit to build, and how it all sits three days out from Lughnasadh

There is a full moon on the twenty ninth of July, and then, three days later, the first harvest. In these islands those two things have always belonged together. One shows you the field. The other asks you to walk into it.

The full moon of 29 July 2026, the last full moon before Lughnasadh

The Full Moon on 29 July 2026

The Moon comes to full on Wednesday the twenty ninth of July at thirty six minutes past three in the afternoon UK time, standing at six degrees of Aquarius directly opposite the Sun at six degrees of Leo. It will look full on the nights either side, so an exact moment landing in the middle of a Wednesday afternoon costs you nothing at all.

You will see this one called the Buck Moon almost everywhere, and it is worth knowing where that name comes from. It is North American, taken from the season when young deer are growing new antlers, and it reached common British usage fairly recently through almanacs and then the internet. The Royal Observatory says as much on its own moon calendar. There is no harm in using it. But if you want the frame that actually belongs to these islands, it is simpler and a great deal older than any list of names. This is the last full moon before the harvest begins.

    How the Celts Counted Time

We know less about Celtic ritual than most books suggest, and a good deal of what circulates online was written in the twentieth century rather than found in the ground. The pretty tree calendar moon names you will see all over Pinterest come from Robert Graves in 1948, not from anything ancient. But some things are genuinely attested, and those are worth having.

The Coligny calendar is the best surviving evidence. A bronze plate found in France, dating to around the second century, lunisolar, tracking the Moon against the solar year with each month divided into two halves. Whoever made it was watching the Moon closely and building a working system around what they saw. Not vague nature worship. Arithmetic.

Caesar recorded something else that has stayed with me. The Gauls, he wrote, measured time by nights rather than days, so a date began at sunset and the night came before the morning it belonged to. It is why we still say fortnight, and why Hallowe’en and Christmas Eve carry the weight they do. If you are marking this moon, mark it on the night. The dark is the beginning of the day, not the end of it.

What a full moon shows you was already true. All that has changed is that you can no longer pretend not to see it.

    Three Days to Lughnasadh

On Saturday the first of August the wheel turns to Lughnasadh. In Irish it is Lúnasa, which is simply the modern word for the month of August, the festival having given its name to the whole thing. In Wales it is Calan Awst or Gŵyl Awst, the calends and the feast of August. In Scots Gaelic, Lùnastal. The English Lammas is a different word with a different root, from the Old English for loaf mass, the blessing of the first bread. Two traditions, the same fortnight, the same old anxiety about whether the grain would come in.

What we know of the Irish festival is largely thanks to Máire MacNeill, who gathered hundreds of local accounts and found the same pattern repeating across the country. People went up. Hilltops, high pastures, holy wells, lake shores. They gathered bilberries, which is why the Sundays of late July and early August carried names like Bilberry Sunday in so many places. There were games, contests, matchmaking. In myth the festival belongs to Lugh, said to have founded it as funeral games for Tailtiu, his foster mother, who cleared the plains of Ireland for planting and died of the effort. The Welsh keep a cognate figure in Lleu Llaw Gyffes in the Fourth Branch of the Mabinogi.

Hold that story next to this moon for a moment. A festival of first fruits, founded in memory of someone who worked the ground until it killed her. Lughnasadh is not really a festival about plenty. It is about the cost of what you are about to gather.

    What This Moon Lights Up

Every full moon sits on an axis, one sign lit and the opposite holding the light. Here it is Leo and Aquarius. Leo is the individual, the particular warmth only one person carries. Aquarius is the group, the wider circle, the belonging that is larger than any one of us. On this axis the question is simple and slightly uncomfortable. Where are you making yourself smaller to keep the peace, and where have you gone so far out in front that you have lost the people you meant to bring with you?

Two things make this moon louder than most. Jupiter sits with the Sun in Leo at almost exactly the same degree, magnifying everything the Sun is doing. And the Moon sits close to Pluto, which has a way of bringing up what was underneath. Bright lighting, and not always on material you would have chosen.

Which, again, is the point of the week. You cannot harvest what you refuse to look at.

What the Cancer New Moon Planted

A fortnight ago the new moon in Cancer asked for something quiet and true to be planted in private. This is the far end of that arc. Cancer plants inwardly. Aquarius brings things out, toward other people, toward the circle. If you wrote an intention down on the fourteenth, go back and read it this week. Something in it will have moved.

    A Number for the Day

The twenty ninth of July 2026 reduces to one, the number of beginnings and of standing on your own feet. There is something quietly funny about a beginning number landing on a full moon, which is supposed to be a completion. But that is how harvest works too. You cut the field and, in the same motion, you save the seed. The twenty nine itself reduces to eleven, associated with insight and with seeing rather more than you had bargained for.

    Six Crystals for This Moon

Chosen for the revealing, releasing mood of the lunation and for the pull between being seen and belonging. You do not need all six. Read through and notice which one you keep returning to.

    Clear Quartz

Start here, because clear quartz has the deepest roots in these islands of anything on this list. White quartz was carried considerable distances and placed at some of the most significant Neolithic sites in Ireland and Scotland, including large quantities at the entrance to Newgrange, and quartz pebbles turn up on graves across both countries for thousands of years afterwards. What exactly it meant is not recorded. That people wanted bright stone at the threshold between one state and another is not in any doubt. Clear quartz amplifies whatever intention it is given, which is what a full moon is doing anyway.

    Labradorite

The stone of things only visible from the right angle. Grey until the light catches, then blue and gold. Labradorite is the one to work with when something is surfacing and you want to look at it steadily rather than flinch away.

    Black Obsidian

The honest mirror. Obsidian is volcanic glass with a long reputation for showing what is there rather than what is comfortable. With the Moon close to Pluto, this is the stone for the part of the week that goes down rather than across. Steady, and best paired with something warmer.

    Citrine

The warm one, and the harvest one. Sun and Jupiter fused in Leo make this an unusually generous chart, and citrine meets it. Golden, solar, associated with confidence and with abundance that gets enjoyed rather than stored away out of fear. Good balance for the obsidian, and the right colour to carry into the first of August.

    Amethyst

Calm at the top of the head. Amethyst is long associated with Aquarius and with the kind of clarity that does not come from thinking harder. Useful on a bright full moon when the mind wants to race, and useful again the morning after, when you have to decide what to do about what you saw.

    Moonstone

The cycle itself. Moonstone carries a soft internal shimmer that shifts as you turn it, which is about as good a physical description of a lunar month as any stone manages. Work with moonstone when you want to move with the turning rather than brace against it.

    The Harvest Light Circuit

A crystal grid is a circuit rather than an arrangement. The stones are conductors, the geometry is the wiring, and the intention is the current running through it. This one is built for the moon on the twenty ninth and then extended into Lughnasadh on the first, so it carries you across both.

The base is the moon phases octagram, eight positions around a centre. Eight is the number of rhythm and regeneration, which suits a lunation about what completes and what begins again in the same breath.

    The Focus Stone

The centre holds the current for the whole circuit, so it needs to carry the loudest note in the chart. Here that is the Sun fused with Jupiter in Leo. Three options, and they are not interchangeable.

    Citrine

Warm, solar, golden, long associated with confidence and with abundance that gets spent rather than hoarded. The closest match to a Sun and Jupiter conjunction in Leo, and gold is the Lughnasadh colour too, so one stone covers both halves of the week. This is the first choice.

    Pyrite

The same solar note with more weight behind it. Metallic, dense, associated with practical courage and with turning intention into something material. Choose pyrite over citrine if what you are gathering this year is concrete rather than emotional. It broadcasts harder, and carries softer feeling less well.

    Tiger’s Eye

Golden banded, grounding, associated with steady self belief. It carries the same Leo colour with a protective quality the other two lack, which suits anyone who finds a bright full moon exposing rather than generous.

A point or tower shape if you have one, since a terminated centre sends the current up and outward rather than pooling it in place.

    The Way Stones

These four are the connectors. They sit between the Focus Stone and the outer ring, and their job is to carry the solar current outward without it reaching the harder outer stones raw. Nothing in the outer ring receives directly from the centre. Everything passes through this layer first, and what it is carrying is the warmth of the centre, softened into something the outer stones can hold.

Moonstone, two of them. Soft internal shimmer that shifts as you turn it, long associated with lunar rhythm and with moving in cycle rather than against it. This is the lunar half of a solar and lunar opposition, so moonstone is what allows the circuit to hold both ends of the Leo and Aquarius axis at once instead of choosing a side.

Labradorite, two of them. Grey until the light catches, then blue and gold. Associated with seeing what is only visible from the right angle. Placed here because the outer ring is going to surface material, and labradorite is what lets you look at it steadily on the way through.

Alternate the two pairs so no two of the same stone sit side by side, or the current runs unevenly around the ring.

    The Desire Stones

Black obsidian, four. Volcanic glass, sharp, associated with honest reflection and with what has been sitting underneath. Chosen for the Moon and Pluto contact, which is the part of this week that goes down rather than across.

Amethyst, four. Cool, calming at the crown, long associated with Aquarius and with clarity that does not come from thinking harder. Chosen as the counterweight, so that what the obsidian surfaces does not tip over into reaction. Alternate them around the ring.

    The Amplifiers

Eight clear quartz points between the outer stones, tips facing outward. Quartz amplifies whatever it is given and broadcasts the completed circuit rather than holding it in. It is also the stone doing the historical work earlier in this guide, so the grid and the ground agree with each other.

    Activation

After dark on the twenty ninth, keeping the night before the day. Trace from the centre outward with a quartz point or your index finger, connecting stone to stone in sequence and speaking the intention aloud as each line closes. Ring a bell or strike a bowl once at the end and wait for the sound to go completely before you leave it.

    The Lughnasadh Addition

On the first of August, add one tiger’s eye at the top position, or amber if tiger’s eye is already your centre. That takes the circuit from twenty one stones to twenty two, the builder, which is the same number that ran through the Cancer new moon two weeks earlier. The arc closes on itself.

    Substitutions

    • Citrine to pyrite or tiger’s eye
    • Moonstone to selenite or howlite
    • Labradorite to black moonstone
    • Black obsidian to black tourmaline or smoky quartz
    • Amethyst to fluorite
    • Clear quartz covers any gap, with the intention said aloud as you place it

    Your Lughnasadh Altar

The altar does not need to be large or permanent. A shelf, a windowsill, a tray you can move. What matters is that the things on it mean something to you rather than looking correct.

    • An altar cloth in gold, cream or green. The field the circuit sits on.
    • A bell or singing bowl. Doing real work here rather than decoration, since the practice below opens and closes with sound.
    • Candles in gold or green, and a Leo zodiac candle for the Sun side of the axis.
    • An offering bowl or small cauldron. This is the genuinely old part. First fruits went into something. Berries, a handful of grain, a torn piece of bread.
    • Incense and an ash catcher. Something resinous or earthy rather than floral.
    • An essential oil blend for dressing the candle before you light it.
    • A clear quartz point or wand for the activation trace.
    • A ritual notebook for the journal prompts at the end of this guide.
    • Runes or a pendulum if you want a divination beat at the turning.

And four things that cost nothing and are closer to the original festival than anything on that list. A loaf you baked or bought and shared. Berries picked outdoors. Something carried down from high ground. The name of one person who helped you this year, said out loud.

A Simple Practice for the Night

This follows the old way of marking a full moon: a candle, a few words and something to give thanks for. Take ten minutes on the night of the twenty ninth or the thirtieth, after dark, in keeping with the older habit of letting the night begin the day.

Clear the space with sound. Ring a bell, strike a bowl, or hum one low note and let it fade out completely. Wait for the silence afterwards. That silence is the beginning of the practice, not the pause before it.

Then take your stone in both hands and breathe five slow breaths, letting each one land a little lower in the body. When you feel settled, say aloud the thing this moon has made obvious. Not the tidy version. The true one. Then name what you are putting down because of it. Notice where each sentence registers, the throat, the chest, the belly, and leave it as it is without smoothing it over.

Finish by setting the stone somewhere it will catch the light of the moon, or simply somewhere you will pass it in the morning. Then stop. This moon does not want a long ceremony. It wants one honest sentence said out loud.

    Carrying It Into Lughnasadh

If you want to keep the thread going to the first of August, the old shape of the festival gives you plenty to work with and none of it is complicated. Go somewhere high, even if high only means the top of your road. Pick something and eat it outdoors. Bake or buy a loaf and share it. Say out loud what you are glad to have brought in this year, and name honestly what it cost you and who helped.

The full moon three days earlier does the seeing. Lughnasadh does the gathering. Between them you get a fairly honest account of your year so far, which is more than most weeks offer.

Making the Most of the Window

The strongest nights are the twenty ninth and the thirtieth, with the Moon still visibly full on the thirty first. After that it begins to wane, and the fortnight that follows is the natural time for the letting go rather than the seeing. Lughnasadh sits right at the start of that stretch, which makes the first week of August unusually good for finishing things rather than beginning them.

    Journal Prompts

Shaped for the Leo and Aquarius pull of this moon and the harvest sitting just behind it. Answer only the ones that catch.

    • What has this moon made obvious that I already half knew?
    • What have I actually brought in this year, and what did it cost me?
    • Who helped, and have I told them?
    • Where am I making myself smaller to keep the peace?
    • Where am I standing apart when I could simply be part of something?
    • What did I plant at the Cancer new moon, and what has grown?
    • Which version of me are other people still expecting, and do I still want to be it?
    • Going into Lughnasadh, what is genuinely ready to be cut, and what needs longer in the ground?

The Strawberry Full Moon in Capricorn

Crystals for steady ground, as the Moon turns to the sign of foundations
Tuesday 30 June 2026, peaking at 12:57am BST

    ❦ ☽ ❧

The June Full Moon arrives in the small hours of Tuesday 30 June, reaching her exact fullness at 12:57am British Summer Time. She sits at 8 degrees of Capricorn, and in folk tradition this June Moon carries the name Strawberry Moon, after the short sweet season of ripening fruit. There is a lovely tension in this one. We are barely a week past the summer solstice, the light still long and generous, and yet the Moon turns to Capricorn, the most grounded and structured sign of the whole wheel. High summer abundance, met by the quiet discipline of the mountain goat. It makes for a Full Moon that asks you to enjoy what is flourishing and to tend the foundations underneath it at the same time.

What this Full Moon is asking of you

Every Full Moon is a moment of fullness and culmination. The Sun and the Moon face each other across the sky, and whatever has been quietly building reaches a point where it can be seen clearly. This time the Sun shines from Cancer while the Moon answers from Capricorn, and that axis is one of the most human in all of astrology. Cancer is home, heart, family, and the feeling of belonging. Capricorn is work, responsibility, the world outside the front door, and the structures we build to last. When the Full Moon lights up this line, it brings the balance between the two into focus. Where have you poured everything into getting things done and left your own comfort to fade into the background. Where have you stayed safe and cosy and put off the harder work of building something real.

Capricorn is the architect of the zodiac. She understands that anything worth having needs foundations strong enough to hold through time and pressure. This is not a Moon for grand new beginnings. It is a Moon for honesty about what you have built so far, and for the patient, unglamorous work of shoring up what matters. Slow progress is still progress when the ground beneath it is sound.

There is one more thread worth knowing. On the very same day, Mercury slows to a standstill and turns retrograde in Cancer. That gives this whole period a backward glance. It is a far better time to revisit, finish, and mend than to launch something brand new. Conversations that have been waiting in the wings may finally be had, and they tend to go best when they are tender and honest rather than rushed.

    The number behind the Moon

For those who enjoy a little numerology woven in, the placement of this Moon is quietly fitting. She falls at 8 degrees of Capricorn, and eight is the number most at home in Capricorn’s world. It is the number of structure and mastery, of patient effort that compounds over time, of cause and effect. Stood upright, the figure eight becomes the symbol of the infinite, the loop that joins the seen and the unseen, as above so below. A Full Moon sitting on the eighth degree of the sign ruled by Saturn, the great teacher of time and discipline, is a gentle reminder that what you build with care does not simply vanish. It accumulates.

Six grounding crystals for the Capricorn Full Moon

Capricorn is an earth sign, ruled by steady Saturn, so the stones that suit her are the deep, grounding, foundation building ones. These six are the companions we would reach for this Full Moon, each chosen to help you feel rooted, clear, and quietly capable. Every one of them is in the collection at Mystic Grove now.

    Whitby Jet

If any stone belongs to a Capricorn Moon it is jet. Genuine Whitby Jet is one of the few gemstones truly native to England, not a mineral crystal but ancient fossilised wood from the North Yorkshire coast, dark and warm and softly ancient in the hand. Jet has long been carried for steadiness through heavy or uncertain times, working at the root to draw scattered energy back down to the earth and settle a restless mind. It sits naturally with Capricorn and the steadying influence of Saturn, which makes it the anchor stone for this Moon. Warm a piece between the hands and it holds a faint charge, a quiet reminder that this was once living wood. You can find genuine Whitby Jet tumbles here.

    Tiger’s Eye

Golden Tiger’s Eye is the stone of grounded confidence, the one to keep close when you want to stay calm and determined while moving towards a goal. Its banded gold carries a steady, practical courage, helping you make decisions with clarity and then follow them through. Linked with the solar plexus and the root, Tiger’s Eye holds focus and self belief in place even through a season of change, which makes it a natural partner for Capricorn ambition. Where this Moon asks you to keep a quiet promise to yourself, this is the stone that helps you keep going. You can browse the Tiger’s Eye here.

    Smoky Quartz

Smoky Quartz is grounding and gently clearing, the stone to hold when you want to set something down. Under a Full Moon that asks you to be honest about what is and is not working, it helps you release what you no longer wish to carry forward, drawing it down and away while keeping you anchored in your body. Calm, sober and reassuring, it is a wonderful release stone for this lunation. You can browse the Smoky Quartz here.

    Black Tourmaline

With Saturn in Aries colouring this season, boundaries are a real theme, and Black Tourmaline is the boundary keeper. It holds a clear protective edge around your energy, helping you stay rooted and settled when the world feels busy or demanding. Keep it by the door, in a pocket, or beside you while you work, and let it hold the line so you do not have to carry the whole of it yourself. You can browse the Tourmaline range here.

    Tourmalinated Quartz

Tourmalinated Quartz is Clear Quartz threaded through with fine dark needles of tourmaline, and it carries the best of both. The clarity and amplifying nature of quartz, married to the grounding and protective steadiness of tourmaline. It is the stone of clear sight held steady, ideal for a Capricorn Moon when you want to see your situation plainly and stay rooted while you do. A favourite for keeping your thinking clean and your feet on the ground. You can browse the Quartz here.

    Hematite

Bright, metallic Hematite is the focus stone, the one we think of as the builder’s companion. It draws wandering attention back to a single point and helps you bring a plan into solid form, which is Capricorn’s whole art. When you want to feel collected, deliberate and quietly in command of your own day, Hematite is the stone to hold. You can browse the Hematite here.

A simple Full Moon ritual for steady ground

Let your eyes close or soften. Many people like to picture the full Moon above them as they work through each step, its light settling over the room. You might also simply follow your breath and the feel of the stone in your hand.

Find a quiet few minutes near the time of the Full Moon, or on the evening of the 29th if the small hours are too late. Sit somewhere you can feel supported, your feet flat on the floor or the ground if you can manage it outside. Choose one of the stones above and rest it in your open palm. Notice its weight, its temperature, the texture of it against your skin. Let your attention settle into that simple contact.

Take a slow breath in, and a longer breath out, and let the out breath carry your weight downward, as though you were sinking roots through the floor. Do this a few times until you feel a little heavier and steadier in the seat. When you are ready, say quietly, out loud or under your breath, the one thing you are committing to building or tending in the weeks ahead. Keep it plain and true. Then name one thing you are ready to set down, the way you might lay a stone on the ground. Feel the difference in your body between the two.

Sit a moment longer with the stone, then place it somewhere you will see it through the coming cycle, a windowsill, a desk, beside the kettle. Each time you notice it, let it remind you of the two things you named. That is the whole of it. Capricorn does not ask for grand gestures, only for the quiet keeping of a promise.

Where this Moon sits on the wheel

Coming so soon after the solstice, this Capricorn Moon falls in the long bright stretch of high summer, with the wheel turning slowly towards Lammas at the start of August and the first gathering of the harvest. There is something right about a foundation tending Moon arriving now, in the season of growth. The seeds you planted in spring are coming into their fullness, and Capricorn asks the practical question underneath the abundance. What is worth keeping, what needs steady tending to carry it through, and what can be allowed to fade. Hold what is flourishing with both hands, and put your quiet care into the roots.

  • Blue Moon May 2026: The Rare Sagittarius Micro Moon

Blue Moon May 2026: The Rare Sagittarius Micro Moon

A second Full Moon in one month, a fixed star alignment, and the slow business of widening the horizon

The Blue Moon arrives at 9.45am BST on Sunday 31 May 2026, sitting at 9 degrees and 56 minutes of Sagittarius, the Archer. She is the second Full Moon of the month, the first Blue Moon since August 2024, and a Micro Moon at her furthest point from the earth. She closes May with a question worth asking out loud, and she rewards anyone willing to listen for the answer.

This guide walks you through the astronomy of the lunation, the Antares alignment that makes her uncommon, the crystals that match her energy, and a simple body led ritual for the morning she peaks.

When is the Blue Moon in May 2026

The Blue Moon reaches her exact peak at 9.45am BST on Sunday 31 May 2026. The Moon will appear full from the evening of Saturday 30 May through the night of Sunday 31 May. She rises at sunset on Saturday and sets at sunrise on Sunday, which means the entire night is hers. The morning peak time is the astronomical exact, but the feeling of the Moon, the part the body responds to, is available across the whole window.

She sits at 9 degrees 56 minutes Sagittarius. This is early Sagittarius, not late, which makes her energy fresh rather than completion oriented. Whatever shows up on this Moon is opening a chapter, not closing one. That distinction matters when you choose what to do with the energy.

What makes this a Blue Moon

The term Blue Moon has two definitions in modern astronomy, and the May 2026 Full Moon fits the more common one. She is the second Full Moon to fall within a single calendar month, following the Flower Moon in Scorpio that opened the month at 6.23pm BST on Friday 1 May. When two Full Moons land in the same month, the second is called a Blue Moon.

Blue Moons are not rare in any cosmic sense. The next one falls in May 2027. The English phrase once in a blue moon comes from a 16th century idiom for something thought impossible, and the name stuck even though the event itself is more about calendar timing than celestial drama. The Moon does not turn blue. She looks the same colour she always does.

What is rarer is the combination this Blue Moon carries. She is also a Micro Moon, sitting near apogee, the furthest point of her orbit from the earth. She will look slightly smaller in the sky than an average Full Moon, around 12 percent smaller than a Supermoon. The pairing of a Blue Moon and a Micro Moon does not happen often, and the next one of that kind is some way off.

The Antares conjunction, the most distinctive feature of this lunation

The astronomical feature that almost no one is talking about, and that genuinely deserves attention, is that this Moon sits close to Antares. Antares is a red supergiant star in the constellation of Scorpius, known as the heart of the Scorpion. She is one of the brightest fixed stars in the night sky, with a distinct orange red glow that the eye picks out easily.

On the night of 30 May into 31 May, the Moon and Antares will sit side by side in the sky, both visible to the naked eye, the Moon glowing pale and Antares burning red beside her. Anyone with a clear view of the southern horizon after dark will be able to see them together.

The astrological reading of this matters. The Moon is in Sagittarius, the sign of seeking, expansion, and the horizon. Antares sits at the heart of Scorpio, the sign of depth, intensity, and what lies beneath. To have these two energies side by side on a Blue Moon is to be asked a serious question. Where you are going, and what you are leaving in order to go. Sagittarius wants the new road. Antares asks whether you have honestly let go of the last one. The Moon between them holds both. This is not a lunation for posturing or vague mood board intentions. She wants honesty.

The Sagittarius energy of this Blue Moon

Sagittarius is the ninth sign of the zodiac, a mutable fire sign ruled by Jupiter. Her domain is the long view, higher learning, travel, philosophy, freedom, and the search for meaning that pulls a life forward. A Full Moon in Sagittarius lights up these areas with a heat that can feel uncomfortable for anyone who has been hiding from her own larger questions.

The honest themes of this lunation are not soft. Where have you grown beyond a belief that used to hold you. What is your life teaching you about meaning that you have not yet said out loud. Where have you outgrown a role, a relationship, a town, a way of working, and where are you still pretending you have not. Sagittarius is the truth seeker, and when her Moon is full she stops being polite about it.

That truth telling does not need to lead to upheaval. Sagittarius is fire, not water. She wants you to know, not necessarily to act. Knowing is the work. Acting comes later, in its own time, often after the dust has settled and the next clear move has revealed itself.

Sagittarius wants the new road. Antares asks whether you have honestly let go of the last one. The Moon between them holds both.

Crystals for the Blue Moon in Sagittarius

Crystal work for this lunation centres on the throat and the third eye, the two energy centres Sagittarius and her Jupiter rulership preside over. The throat for the truth telling, the third eye for the long view. The selection below also reflects the release work this Blue Moon invites, the honest letting go that makes room for the next horizon. Each crystal is in stock at Mystic Grove and ready to come home.

Lapis Lazuli tower from Mystic Grove

    Lapis Lazuli

She comes first because she carries the Sagittarius signature more clearly than any other stone. Lapis Lazuli is the traditional Sagittarius birthstone and the long held crystal of wisdom and truth. Her deep blue, threaded with gold pyrite flecks, has been worn by truth seekers from Cleopatra to the philosophers, and her energy works directly on the throat and the third eye. She is the stone for the question this Blue Moon asks out loud. Sit with her at the throat during your ritual, or hold her in your lap and let her settle the mind into honesty.

    Browse the Lapis Lazuli collection

    Sodalite wand from Mystic Grove

    Sodalite

Where Lapis Lazuli holds the wisdom, Sodalite holds the clarity. She is sometimes called the philosopher’s stone, and on a Sagittarius Moon she is essential for the work of articulation, the moving of an inner knowing into a clear sentence. If Lapis Lazuli is the deep, ancient blue, Sodalite is the colour of a thinking sky. She balances thought with intuition, which is exactly the bridge Sagittarius needs her people to walk. Hold her when you journal on this lunation. The right words tend to arrive.

    Browse the Sodalite collection

    Amethyst cluster from Mystic Grove

    Amethyst

Amethyst is the traditional Sagittarius crystal alongside Lapis Lazuli, and she belongs on every Blue Moon altar in this sign. Her violet energy works the crown and the third eye, supporting the visionary thinking Sagittarius is here to do. She is also a calming stone, which matters under a Full Moon that can run hot. If the truth of this lunation feels too sharp to sit with, Amethyst softens it without diluting it. Place her at the head of your altar, or under your pillow on the Saturday night for the dreams that may come.

    Browse the Amethyst collection

    Labradorite slab from Mystic Grove

    Labradorite

Labradorite is the stone for the threshold this Moon marks. She is the crystal of transformation, of crossing from one chapter to the next, and her flash of blue green light catches in the corner of the eye just like a shift in life direction does. The Inuit and the Innu of Labrador, where she takes her name, have long worked with her energy, and she holds a North Atlantic gravity that suits the seriousness of this lunation. Hold her when you ask what you are crossing out of, and what you are crossing into.

    Browse the Labradorite collection

Smoky Quartz tower from Mystic Grove

    Smoky Quartz

Smoky Quartz holds the release end of this lunation. Where Labradorite marks the threshold and Lapis Lazuli speaks the truth, Smoky Quartz is the stone that lets you put the old chapter down. She has a Scottish lineage worth knowing, found in the granite of the Cairngorms and worn for centuries in the Highlands. Her grounding energy steadies the body while the heart releases. If this Blue Moon is asking you to lay something down, Smoky Quartz is the one to hold while you do it. We cross from Beltane toward Litha now, the wheel turning, and she is the stone for that crossing.

A Blue Moon ritual for Sunday 31 May

This ritual follows the traditional shape of full moon work: intention, release and gratitude. The Moon peaks at 9.45am BST, which means the night before is the natural time to sit with her, and the morning of is the natural time to close the practice. You can do both, or you can do one. The body knows which.

The night before, on Saturday 30 May, find a window or step outside if the sky is clear. The Moon and Antares will sit close in the southern sky after dark. If you can see them, look. There is something about the act of looking at a lunation in the actual sky that grounds the work in a way no indoor altar can match. If the sky is cloudy, the energy is still there. Step out anyway. The body knows.

Set your altar simply. A piece of cloth in a colour that feels right, your chosen crystal or small selection, a candle, a journal, a glass of water. If you have Lapis Lazuli or Amethyst, use those. If you have one stone only, choose the one your hand reaches for. The body chooses better than the mind does.

Light the candle. Sit somewhere your body feels supported. Take three long breaths in through the nose, longer out through the mouth. On each out breath, let the shoulders drop, the jaw soften, and the spine settle a little deeper. Stay here until the breath has slowed of its own accord.

Pick up your crystal and bring her to the throat or the heart, whichever calls. Hold her there. Notice her weight, her temperature, the way her presence changes the energy of the chest. Stay with the sensation for at least a minute.

When you are ready, ask the body, not the mind, what you have outgrown. Wait. Sagittarius will not answer with a long list. She will answer with one thing, sometimes a phrase, sometimes a single word, sometimes the name of a person or a place or a habit. Trust the first one that lands.

Write it down. One line is enough. Then ask, what is the horizon now. Wait again. Write the answer beneath the first.

Place the page under the crystal, or under the candle, or in the bowl of water, whichever feels right. Speak both lines aloud, once. Then sit with the silence that follows. The silence is part of the work.

The next morning, on Sunday 31 May, return to the altar around the 9.45am peak if you can. Read the two lines again. Notice if anything has changed overnight. Close the candle. Place the crystal where you will see her every day until the next New Moon in Gemini on Sunday 14 June. The seed of this Blue Moon will move with you until then.

    The Beltane to Litha threshold

This Blue Moon falls in a particular place on the Wheel of the Year. We are between Beltane, the fire festival of 1 May, and Litha, the Summer Solstice on Sunday 21 June. The land is at her most fertile, the days are nearly at their longest, and the energy of the wheel is rising toward the peak.

Sagittarius is the fire sign that holds this part of the year. Her Moon, full and rare on the Blue Moon, marks the threshold between the planting of Beltane and the peak of Litha. Whatever you spoke into being on Beltane has had four weeks to grow. The Blue Moon is the moment to check on it. Is it still the thing you want. Has the horizon shifted since you set it. Sagittarius will tell you.

Working with this Moon across the weeks ahead

The Blue Moon plants for the medium term, longer than a normal Full Moon, shorter than the seed of a New Moon. She is a horizon Moon, which means the work she begins reveals itself over the next six to twelve weeks. Watch for it.

The Gemini New Moon follows on Sunday 14 June at 11.54am BST. She will quicken what this Blue Moon revealed, asking you to gather information, ask questions, and begin to find the words for what you now know. Litha follows on Sunday 21 June, the longest day, the peak of the solar year. Whatever this Blue Moon set in motion will be standing in its first full light by the Solstice.

This lunation is grounded in the body and sharp in the truth. Honour both. Trust what arrives. Plant what truly matters, and let the wheel do the rest.

Bring This Blue Moon Into Your Home

Every crystal on this page is in stock at Mystic Grove, chosen with care for her resonance, her quality, and her readiness to work. Whether you are setting your first Blue Moon altar or adding to an established practice, the stones that match this rare lunation are waiting for you.

  • Full Flower Moon 2026: Scorpio’s Shadow Meets the Beltane Fires

Full Flower Moon 2026: Scorpio’s Shadow Meets the Beltane Fires

A grounded UK guide to the rare Beltane Full Moon alignment

The Full Flower Moon 2026 rises in Scorpio on Friday 1 May, exactly on Beltane. A grounded guide to what is happening in the sky, the crystals to work with, and a simple ritual you can do at the kitchen table.

Full Flower Moon 2026 in Scorpio rising over a hawthorn hedgerow on Beltane night

There is a particular quality to the May hedgerow that the country walker knows in her body before she knows it in her head. The hawthorn is out. The blackthorn has finished. The bluebells have done their two week burn and are starting to fade. The whole green world has tipped over from waking up into being awake.

This is the air the Full Flower Moon 2026 rises into. She arrives on Friday 1 May at 9.23pm BST, sitting in Scorpio at 11°21′. The same evening Beltane lights her fires across the Wheel of the Year. The same evening the country has held as a fire festival for as long as anyone has bothered to remember.

It is not often that one of the great cross quarter festivals of the Wheel falls on the night of a Full Moon, and rarer still that the Moon herself is in Scorpio when she does. The two energies are doing very different work. Beltane wants you outside, in your body, in the warm light. Scorpio wants you honest about what is moving underneath. They do not cancel each other out. They make a strange and useful pair for one night.

The May Full Moon in Scorpio is also a Micro Moon, the furthest of the year from earth, and the first of two Full Moons in May. Fifteen days from this peak, on 31 May, the Blue Moon in Sagittarius arrives to close the chapter. What you sit with on Friday night is the seed of what releases at the end of the month.

What is Actually Happening This Year

The 2026 Full Flower Moon is technically a Micromoon. She sits at apogee, her furthest point from earth in her orbit, and will appear slightly smaller and softer in the sky than an average Full Moon. The energy follows the form. Micromoons tend to feel less dramatic and more internal than the big perigee Supermoons. For a Scorpio Full Moon to arrive in Micro form is fitting. The work she invites is the quiet kind.

The peak is at 9.23pm BST on Friday 1 May. The most charged window for ritual work is the four to six hours after that exact peak, which means anything from 9.23pm through to the early hours of Saturday morning is the working window for the night.

And there is one more layer. May 2026 is a rare two Full Moon month. The Blue Moon in Sagittarius arrives on 31 May at 9.45am BST at 9°56′. So this Flower Moon is opening a thirty day chapter that closes with one of the most expansive lunations of the year. The Scorpio Moon asks you to name the truth. The Sagittarius Blue Moon asks what you are going to do about it. Hold the two of them as one arc.

Beltane and the Scorpio Moon, the Odd Pair

Beltane is one of the most embodied festivals on the Wheel of the Year. Bonfires, hawthorn flowers, the maypole, bare feet on warm grass, the leaping of fires for blessing. She lives in the body, in the senses, in the pleasure of being alive. She is not subtle.

Scorpio is the opposite kind of energy. She is the most internal of the water signs, the bit of you that knows things before you have admitted them out loud. A Full Moon in Scorpio always brings up what has been kept quiet, even if you were not aware you were keeping it quiet.

When you put them together, you get something rare. Beltane gives you permission to actually feel pleasure in your body and enjoy being alive. Scorpio asks you to be honest about what you find when you do. Most of the year we celebrate without being too truthful, or we get truthful but lose the ability to celebrate. This Moon is asking for both at once.

Most of the year we celebrate without being too truthful, or we get truthful but lose the ability to celebrate. This Moon is asking for both at once.

A Simple Ritual for the Flower Moon

This is the heart of the Moon. Everything else in this piece holds her in context, but the ritual is where the work lives. Build it for the hours immediately after the Full Moon goes exact at 9.23pm BST on Friday 1 May. If you can be outside for any part of it, that is a gift. If not, a windowsill with a view of the sky is enough.

There are two versions below. The first is the full altar version, suited to anyone who has the time and the inclination to settle into a longer working. The second is the kitchen table version, which uses what is already in your house and takes ten minutes. Both honour the same alignment. The Moon does not measure the gesture by what it cost.

Version one | The full altar ritual

    What you will need

    • A white candle for Beltane and a black or deep red candle for Scorpio
    • A small heatproof bowl
    • A piece of paper and a pen
    • One or more of the crystals listed below. Moonstone, Labradorite or Selenite if you can choose
    • A sprig of hawthorn or any white blossom from a hedge or garden
    • A stick of incense if you have one. Frankincense, sandalwood or rose

    The ritual

Light the white candle first. As the flame catches, name aloud or in your head what you are celebrating about this season of your life. What has bloomed. What has come back to you. What you can feel growing. Take your time. Beltane is not a sign that asks for haste.

Light the black or red candle next. As the second flame catches, ask yourself the Scorpio question. What is the truth I have not let myself say? Sit with whatever rises. There is no need to write it down yet. The point is to feel it without flinching.

When you are ready, write the truth on the paper. One or two sentences. Keep it simple.

Hold your crystal in your dominant hand. Read the truth back to yourself, slowly, three times. The first reading is for acknowledging it. The second is for honouring it. The third is for letting it go.

Light the corner of the paper from the black candle. Let it burn safely in the heatproof bowl. As it burns, watch the smoke rise. Beltane carries the truth out into the world. Scorpio releases what you have been holding.

When the paper has burned to ash, blow out the candles in the order you lit them. White first, then black. In the morning, take the ash outside and return it to the earth. The base of a hedge or a tree, a wild patch on your walk, a windowbox if you have one.

Leave your crystal on the windowsill overnight to charge in the moonlight.

Version two | The kitchen table ritual

This is for anyone who does not have an altar set up, who does not want to buy something new for one ritual, or who simply wants the ten minute version. Your kitchen holds enough.

    What you will need

    • One candle. Any candle. A tea light from the bottom drawer is fine
    • A small bowl or saucer
    • A piece of paper and a pen
    • A pinch of salt
    • Whatever crystal you have, if you have one

    The ritual

Sit at your kitchen table. Light the candle. Place the bowl in front of you with the pinch of salt in the bottom. Salt has carried cleansing in folk practice across most of Europe for centuries. She does the same job here.

Hold the crystal if you have one. Hold your own hand if you do not. Speak the Beltane question first. What am I celebrating tonight? Then the Scorpio question. What truth have I been keeping quiet?

Write whatever surfaces on the paper. Fold it twice. Tear off one corner and burn that corner over the candle, dropping the ash into the bowl with the salt. The rest of the paper goes in the bin in the morning, and the salt and ash go onto the soil of a houseplant or out into the garden.

That is the whole ritual. Ten minutes. Done at the kitchen table with a candle and a bowl. The Moon receives it as fully as she receives the longer version.

It is not a Moon for performing. It is a Moon for arriving. Wherever you arrive, the answer is yes.

The Crystals for the Flower Moon

Six crystals carry this Moon particularly well. Each does a slightly different job, and they layer beautifully if you have several. If you only have one, choose by feel rather than by list. And if you have none, the kitchen table ritual works without them. The whole Mystic Grove crystal collection is here when you are ready.

Each of these stones has qualities that have been recognised across many cultures and over long stretches of time. We work with them here within the rhythm of the Wheel of the Year, holding their wider lineages with respect rather than claim.

    Moonstone

Moonstone is the one I always reach for first on a Full Moon night. The Romans believed she was made of solidified moonbeams, and both Greeks and Romans associated her directly with their lunar deities. In Sri Lanka and India she has been venerated for at least two thousand years as a sacred stone of the moon, set traditionally on the brow of lunar deities and carried as a stone of intuition and night travel.

Most commercial moonstone today comes from Sri Lanka, with the finest blue flash variety historically from Myanmar, where she is known as Mukdahan. The qualities people have recognised in her, the lunar tuning, the soft adularescence that catches the light like the moon catches it, the association with cycles and intuition, are extraordinarily consistent across the cultures who have known her.

For the Scorpio Flower Moon she takes the edge off the intensity. Where Scorpio can feel airless, Moonstone reminds you that emotion comes in waves, the wave will pass, and the Moon herself returns to the same point every month. Hold her while you ask the harder question. Browse Moonstone at Mystic Grove.

    Labradorite

Labradorite was first identified in 1770 by Moravian missionaries on the Labrador peninsula in Canada, though the Innu and Inuit peoples of that land had known her long before. Innu legend holds that the northern lights were once trapped inside the rocks of the Labrador coast, and that a warrior struck the rocks with his spear and freed most of the lights into the sky, leaving the remainder caught inside what we now call Labradorite. The flash you see when you turn her in the light is the part of the aurora she still holds.

She is for intuition, for dream work, and for the place where the seen and the unseen meet, which is a description of Scorpio if there ever was one. Hold her in your dominant hand during the moments of the ritual when you ask the deeper question. Her flash of blue and gold under the dark surface is also a useful visual reminder of what Scorpio actually is. Depth that holds light at the heart of it. Browse Labradorite at Mystic Grove.

    Selenite

Selenite takes her name from Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon. She has been worked since antiquity, and translucent slabs of her were used in temple windows in ancient Rome to let in a soft, lunar quality of light, which is where the original Roman name lapis specularis came from. Selene’s stone, mirror stone, the moon’s own glass.

She is your cleanser through any lunar work. She does not need recharging herself, she does not need looking after, and she will clear whatever you put on her. After the ritual, lay your other crystals on a piece of Selenite to clear what they picked up during the working. She is also the easiest stone to charge in moonlight. A tower on the windowsill catches the moonbeams and holds them through the next month. Browse Selenite at Mystic Grove.

    Black Tourmaline

Black Tourmaline, known in mineralogy as Schorl, has been used as a protective stone in folk practice across Europe and Asia for centuries. Mediaeval sources describe her being placed at the four corners of a working space, and she still does the same job today. Her crystal structure is what mineralogists call pyroelectric, meaning she carries a small electrical charge when warmed, which may be part of why people have intuitively turned to her as a stone of grounding and energetic clearing for so long.

For Scorpio work she is essential. When the deeper question gets asked and the body starts answering with old grief or memory you had forgotten about, Black Tourmaline keeps you anchored. She does not stop the work happening. She makes it safer to do. Place a piece at each corner of the altar, or carry one in your pocket through the evening. Browse Tourmaline at Mystic Grove.

    Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz is one of the oldest worked stones in the human record. Beads have been recovered from sites in the ancient Near East dating to around 7000 BCE. The Greeks held her as a stone of Aphrodite, who became Venus to the Romans, and she has been associated with the heart and with gentleness across many cultures since.

She is the Beltane half of this alignment. Where Scorpio asks for truth, Beltane asks for love, and Rose Quartz lets the truth be received gently rather than harshly. She softens the field around the working so that whatever surfaces can be met with kindness rather than judgement. The stone that says, whatever comes up tonight, I will not be cruel to myself about it. Browse Rose Quartz at Mystic Grove.

    Obsidian

Obsidian is volcanic glass, born of fire meeting cold and cooled before crystals could form. She has been worked across many cultures for tools, weapons and scrying mirrors, with John Dee’s famous obsidian mirror in the British Museum a 16th century example of the latter. The Aztec and Mayan peoples of central America held her as a stone of the underworld and of unflinching sight, and her qualities of cutting through illusion have been recognised independently in many other lineages.

She is for the practitioner ready for the most direct version of Scorpio work. If there is something specific you have been avoiding looking at, Obsidian will ask you to look. Use her with care and only if you are ready. She is not a stone for soothing. She is a stone for truth, and there is a difference. Browse Obsidian at Mystic Grove.

An Ancestral Note on the Beltane Fires

Beltane fires were once lit on every hilltop in Ireland and Scotland on the eve of 1 May. Cattle were driven between two fires for blessing on the way to summer pasture. Couples leapt the fires for fertility. The folklorist Frederick Marian McNeill recorded that in some Highland communities into the early 20th century, every household hearth was extinguished on Beltane Eve and relit only from a coal carried from the communal need fire on the hill.

The same fires that once travelled by hand from hilltop to home are the fires this Moon lights now. Whatever scale you keep them at, you are keeping a very old flame. A single candle on a kitchen table is enough.

Journal Prompts for the Days Around the Moon

The energy of the Flower Moon does not arrive only on the evening she peaks. It builds in the days before her and softens for a few days after. The prompts below are for working through the whole window, from late April into the first week of May. Pick one prompt per evening. Write for ten minutes without stopping. The point is not to be eloquent. The point is to be honest.

    • What has come into bloom in my life that I have not noticed?
    • What truth has been stirring that I have been keeping quiet?
    • If I let myself live fully in my body this month, what would change?
    • Which relationship is asking for honesty rather than smoothing over?
    • What desire have I been pretending not to feel?
    • What old grief is asking to be honoured before I let it go?
    • If Beltane gives me permission to celebrate, what am I celebrating?
    • If Scorpio asks for the truth, what am I avoiding?

Herbs, Oils and Candles to Layer With

If you would like to deepen the ritual with the wider apothecary of the season, here are some traditional correspondences that sit naturally alongside the Flower Moon. Use what you have to hand. None of this is required. All of it is welcome.

    Herbs and flowers

    • Hawthorn, the May tree herself, blooming exactly now and the gateway plant of Beltane
    • Mugwort, traditional for Scorpio and the thinning veil between worlds
    • Rose petals, for Venus and the heart
    • Rosemary, for cleansing and remembering
    • Yarrow, for Scorpio protection and the folk magic of the season
    • Vervain, the Beltane procession herb of these islands
    • Meadowsweet, for sweetness and the gentler half of the alignment

    Essential oils

A drop of the right oil will lift any ritual into another register. Browse the essential oils and blends at Mystic Grove, and consider these for the Scorpio Flower Moon.

    • Frankincense, for sacred fire and the deeper reach of Scorpio
    • Myrrh, the underworld oil, for honest sitting with what surfaces
    • Rose, for the Beltane heart
    • Sandalwood, for grounded presence through the working
    • Patchouli, for the deep earth and Scorpio’s underground rivers
    • Hawthorn, when you can find her, for the Beltane lineage

    Candles

Candle colour carries its own quiet language. Our ritual candle collection sits in the wider Mystic Grove candle range, and these colours are the ones aligned with this Moon.

    • White, for Beltane and the Full Moon
    • Black, for Scorpio and the work of release
    • Deep red, for the Beltane fire and the heart of Scorpio
    • Silver, for lunar work and the Goddess
    • Pink, for Venus and the gentle heart

Light any single candle from this list during the ritual. Anoint it with one drop of any oil from the list. Sit a small handful of any herb at the base. The combinations are yours to build from what you have, and the Moon receives whatever is offered with the same patient grace.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What date is the Full Flower Moon 2026?

The Full Flower Moon 2026 falls on Friday 1 May at 9.23pm BST in the UK. She rises in Scorpio at 11°21′ and is a Micromoon, sitting at apogee, her furthest point from earth in her orbit. She is also the first of two Full Moons in May, with the second arriving on 31 May as a Blue Moon in Sagittarius. The 1 May date means this Flower Moon falls on Beltane itself, an unusual alignment that does not come along often.

What is the spiritual meaning of the Flower Moon in Scorpio?

The Flower Moon in Scorpio brings together two distinct energies. The Flower Moon herself is the May Full Moon traditionally associated with bloom, fertility and the noticing of what has survived the winter. Scorpio is the most internal of the water signs and is associated with honest emotion, hidden truth, and the surfacing of what has been kept quiet. Together they ask the practitioner to celebrate what has bloomed in her life while being honest about what is moving underneath.

What is a Beltane Full Moon and why is it rare?

A Beltane Full Moon is a Full Moon that falls on or close to Beltane, the cross quarter fire festival of the Wheel of the Year on 1 May. The alignment is rare because the lunar cycle and the solar calendar move at different rates, and a Full Moon falling exactly on a major festival day happens only every few years. The 2026 Beltane Full Moon is particularly significant because she lands on the festival itself and is in Scorpio, which adds a layer of depth and emotional honesty to the celebration.

What crystals work best for a Scorpio Full Moon?

The crystals most associated with Scorpio Full Moon work are Moonstone for lunar tuning, Labradorite for intuition and dream work, Selenite for cleansing, Black Tourmaline for grounding, Rose Quartz for the gentle heart, and Obsidian for the most direct truth work. For the 2026 Flower Moon, layering Moonstone with Labradorite is particularly powerful because both stones bridge the seen and the unseen in different ways.

How do I do a Full Moon ritual at home?

A Full Moon ritual at home does not have to be elaborate. The simplest version uses one candle, a piece of paper, and ten minutes at your kitchen table. Light the candle. Name what you are celebrating. Name what you are releasing. Write the release on the paper, burn a corner of it safely, and return the ash to the earth in the morning. The longer altar version layers in two candles, crystals, herbs and incense, but the gesture is the same. The Moon receives both versions equally.

Every crystal at Mystic Grove is hand selected before she leaves the bench, dispatched in protective packaging from Mystic Grove HQ.

    April 2026 Moon Ritual Guide

The moons of April 2026 in date order, with the astrological weather, crystals, rituals and a horoscope for each rising sign

Welcome to April’s moon rituals, the cosmic weather this month shifts our focus dramatically from deep internal dreaming into bold cardinal fire. The energy is electric fast moving and highly transformative. As we move through the lunar cycles this month we are learning the delicate art of balancing our own fiery needs with the needs of those around us.

We face two powerful contrasting lunar events. We open the month under the light of the Libra Full Moon which will bring any imbalances in our closest partnerships directly to the surface for resolution. Two weeks later we hit the reset button with the Aries New Moon. Aries brings a rush of courage and self determination making this one of the best moments of the entire year to launch a new project advocate for yourself or completely rewrite your personal narrative.

    Notable Astrological Aspects in April

Beyond the phases of the moon the planetary movements this month greatly influence our energy. Keep an eye on these specific transits as you plan your month:

    • Venus in Aries continues: The planet of love and resources remains in fiery Aries keeping our approach to relationships bold and passionate. Compromise will feel difficult but honesty will thrive.
    • Sun enters Taurus (19 April): The intense fast paced Aries energy finally grounds into earth. We shift from initiating new ideas to actually sustaining and building them.
    • Pluto Retrograde begins (26 April): The planet of deep transformation begins its backward journey. This marks a five month period where we are asked to quietly review our relationship with personal power and control.

Working With the April Lunar Phases

To truly harness lunar magic we must align our daily actions with the waxing and waning light of the moon. Here is how to navigate the specific phases this month.

The Waning Phase: Releasing and Recalibrating (3 April to 16 April)

Following the intense light of the Libra Full Moon the lunar energy begins to decrease. The waning phase is always a time for letting go banishing and cord cutting. Because this phase is heavily influenced by Libra air energy it is the perfect time for mental and relational decluttering. Use these two weeks to step away from people pleasing habits cancel social obligations that drain you and actively restore balance to your schedule. Allow the waning light to naturally dissolve any codependent dynamics.

The Waxing Phase: Igniting Action (18 April Onwards)

After the complete darkness of the Aries New Moon the lunar light begins to build. The waxing phase is our period of attraction growth and forward momentum. Because this phase is charged by cardinal fire it is the time to take decisive courageous action. Do not hesitate or overthink during these two weeks. Send the difficult email launch the creative project and boldly step into visibility. Trust that the expanding lunar light is fully supporting your bravery.

    The April Lunar Rituals

The Libra Full Moon: Reclaiming Balance

Before we can charge forward we must find our footing. The month opens with the Full Moon in Libra. Libra illuminates our closest relationships and highlights exactly where we might be compromising too much of our own energy. If you have been pleasing others or avoiding difficult conversations for the sake of artificial peace this moon will bring those issues to the surface for permanent resolution.

How to Perform the Sovereignty Ritual:

    1. Centre Yourself: Sit quietly with your Rose Quartz Tower. Take deep breaths allowing your heart rate to settle and your energy to naturally entrain with the calming frequency of the stone.
    2. Reflect: Ask yourself honestly where you are currently overextending your energy to keep the peace. Where have your boundaries become too porous?
    3. Set Your Intention: Light a pink candle. Focus quietly on the specific dynamics you need to change silently committing to speaking your truth without fear.
    4. Release: Write down any resentments or unbalanced dynamics on a piece of paper. Safely burn the paper in a fireproof dish acknowledging that you are permanently letting go of the need to please everyone.
    5. Ground: Take three final deep breaths feeling a sense of renewed personal sovereignty. Extinguish the candle.

    Weaving This Into Everyday Life

The lessons of Libra require real world application. Practice setting a gentle boundary this week. If someone asks for a favour that drains you respond with “Let me check my schedule” instead of an immediate yes. Protecting your energy in small everyday moments is how you build long term balance.

The Aries New Moon: Igniting Courage

This New Moon is in fiery Aries making the energy incredibly dynamic fast and hot. New Moons act as portals of change and this one invites you to start a whole new chapter with absolute conviction. The key is to ensure your bravery is strategic and that your actions are guided by clear purpose rather than ego.

    Ignite Your Beginnings Ritual:

    1. Prepare the Space: Gather your red manifestation candle and your Carnelian Tower. Choose a space that feels uncluttered and energising.
    2. Centre Your Fire: Take three deep breaths releasing hesitation with each exhale. Visualise warmth gathering in your solar plexus the centre of your personal power.
    3. Plant the Seed: Write up to ten empowering intentions for self leadership and renewal in your journal. Phrase them in the present tense focusing on the bold steps you are ready to take.
    4. Activate the Flame: Hold your hands gently near the warmth of the candle. Visualise the projective energy of the Carnelian amplifying your intentions and pushing them out into the universe.
    5. Close: Place your hand over your heart confirming your readiness to move forward. Safely extinguish the candle.

    Weaving This Into Everyday Life

Aries energy demands momentum. Do not wait for the perfect moment to start your new project or have that important conversation. Take messy imperfect action today. Send the email make the phone call or write the first sentence. The universe rewards the brave who are willing to take the first step.

  • Full Moon March 2026 & Lunar Eclipse

Full Moon March 2026 & Lunar Eclipse

The full moon and lunar eclipse of March 2026, how to find your rising sign, and a crystal grid for the eclipse

The sky is offering us a profound moment of release on the third of March with the arrival of the Virgo Lunar Eclipse. Eclipses are times of accelerated change acting as doorways that firmly close outdated chapters of our lives. Because this eclipse falls in the analytical earth sign of Virgo the energy is highly focused on deep physical and mental decluttering. We are being asked to look critically at our daily routines our health and our deeply ingrained desire for perfection.

This astrological event does not happen in isolation. It serves a very specific seasonal purpose. Later this month on the twentieth of March we will celebrate Ostara the Spring Equinox. Ostara marks the awakening of the earth and the return of the light a time for planting new seeds and initiating bold growth. However you cannot plant a vibrant new garden in soil that is choked with weeds. The Virgo Lunar Eclipse provides the ultimate weeding process. It forces us to release the heavy static energy of winter ensuring our personal frequency is completely clear and prepared for the rapid forward momentum of the new season.

To harness this intense releasing energy we will use the power of sacred numerology and crystal grids combined with the active force of fire magic. By matching the specific geometry of a grid to the astrological house activated in your personal birth chart you create a highly targeted energetic circuit.

How to Find Your Rising Sign

To build the correct grid for this eclipse you must know your Rising Sign which is also known as your Ascendant. This is the exact zodiac sign that was ascending on the eastern horizon the moment you were born.

Your Rising Sign represents your energetic physical presence in the world and sets the structure for your entire astrological chart. It dictates the layout of your twelve astrological houses and tells us exactly which area of your life this Virgo eclipse is activating. Because this grid work is highly specific to the activated house using your Sun Sign will not be as accurate.

If you do not know your Rising Sign you can easily calculate it using the free widget provided below. Please note that this calculator uses the United States date format. For those of us in the UK you must reverse your usual date format and enter your birth month before your birth day. You will also need to enter your exact time of birth and your specific birth town or city. Astrological Weather and Lunar Cycles

To truly understand the energy we are working with we must look at the specific astrological transits and lunar phases occurring during this window. Every zodiac sign adds a different flavour to the cosmic weather.

The Virgo Lunar Eclipse (3 March):
This Full Moon in the earth sign of Virgo demands physical and mental decluttering. Virgo energy is highly analytical and practical. This eclipse illuminates exactly where our perfectionism and stressful daily routines are holding us back. It is a moment for huge energetic release preparing the ground for the upcoming spring.

The Pisces New Moon (18 March):
Falling just two days before the equinox this New Moon is a moment of profound stillness. Pisces brings deep watery intuition and imagination. Because the moon is completely dark this is not a time for external action. Instead it is the perfect time to sit quietly and plant the seeds of your boldest dreams in the fertile soil of your mind.

Ostara and the Aries Sun (20 March):
The Sun enters the cardinal fire sign of Aries officially marking the Spring Equinox. Ostara is a sacred moment of perfect equilibrium where day and night stand entirely equal in the sky. From this point forward the light begins to triumph over the dark. Aries provides the courageous forward thrust needed to push the intentions you set during the dark of the Pisces moon into the physical world.

The Science of the Anchor Stone and Fire Magic

Every crystal grid requires a master stone in the centre to anchor the frequency. For this specific Virgo eclipse grid you must use either Smoky Quartz or Black Tourmaline as your centrepiece regardless of your zodiac sign.

During an eclipse the energetic weather is highly volatile. Your personal energy field can easily become scattered or overwhelmed. Both Smoky Quartz and Black Tourmaline emit a dense stable frequency that naturally draws excess energy downward. Through the principle of entrainment placing one of these dark grounding stones at the centre of your grid ensures that the heavy negative energy you are releasing is safely absorbed and neutralised rather than floating aimlessly in your physical space.

While your crystals provide the stable receptive structure for your grid candles provide the active projective spark. The flame of a candle acts as an energetic catalyst. When you light a dedicated intention candle beside your grid you are blending the slow ancient magic of earth with the rapid transformative magic of fire. The steady burn of the candle takes the intention held within the stones and actively pushes it outward into the universe ensuring your release work happens swiftly and completely.

The Language of Intention: The Power of I Am

A crystal grid is only as powerful as the thought directing it. Crystals are natural amplifiers but they require a clear program to run. When giving intention to your stones the phrasing you use is absolutely critical. Words carry their own specific frequencies.

You must always avoid phrasing your intention from a place of lack. Using words like “I want” or “I need” inherently broadcasts a frequency of absence telling the universe that you do not currently possess the thing you desire. Instead you must use the present tense framing your intention with the words “I am” or “I have”. For example instead of focusing on “I want to stop overworking” you must program the stones with “I am completely balanced in my daily routine”. This forces your personal energy to immediately match the reality of the desire right now rather than pushing it away into the distant future.

Once your stones are placed in their geometric pattern the grid must be activated. Think of this process as turning on the energetic power switch.

To activate the circuit take a Clear Quartz wand or simply use your index finger. Start at the master grounding stone right in the centre of the grid. Trace an invisible line outward to the first modifier stone. From there draw a line to the next stone in the layout continuing around the shape to connect the entire outer geometry. Finally trace the line back to the centre stone closing the loop. You are physically drawing the energetic circuit. As you do this hold your clear “I am” intention firmly in your mind. Once the lines are linked light your manifestation candle to act as the final projective spark.

    Customising Your Grid Geometry

The shape of your grid dictates exactly how the energy will flow. The number of points or stones you use around your centre anchor relates directly to sacred numerology. Before building your specific rising sign grid it helps to visualise the geometry you will be creating.

    • Number Nine Grids: A nine fold layout such as an Enneagram star combined with the Seed of Life is deeply powerful. Nine represents endings spiritual awareness and breaking karmic cycles making it perfect for shedding outdated versions of yourself.
    • Number Three and Six Grids: These layouts build upon triangles and hexagrams often resembling a honeycomb. They are highly active geometric shapes perfect for unlocking closed communication channels and integrating new ideas.
    • Number Four and Eight Grids: Built upon squares and octagrams these grids represent the physical earth. They provide deep structural stability making them ideal for grounding career ambitions or changing physical health routines.
    • Number Five and Seven Grids: Pentagrams and heptagrams connect us to the mystical unseen realms. Fives stimulate raw creativity and joy while sevens encourage deep inner illumination and spiritual expansion.

    Your Shift and Seasonal Toolkit

Ensure you have the correct tools available. We use these specific crystals and candles because their natural frequencies perfectly entrain with the energetic needs of the eclipse.

    1. For the Focus Stones:
You will need a Selenite Tower to keep your energetic space clear of static and a dark grounding stone like Black Tourmaline to absorb the heavy energy you are shedding.

    2. For Energetic Activation:
A Full Moon Manifestation Candle is vital for the eclipse grid. The physical flame acts as a projective focal point keeping your intention brightly illuminated and steadily pushing your grid energy out into the physical realm.

    3. For Clear Communication:
Sodalite is essential for soothing the throat chakra preventing misunderstandings and encouraging logical calm communication during the turbulent eclipse window.

    March 2026 Moon Ritual Guide

The moons of March 2026 in date order, with the astrological weather, crystals, rituals and a horoscope for each rising sign

Welcome to the March 2026 Moon Ritual Guide. The cosmic energy this month brings a beautiful and rare opportunity to blend our deepest spiritual visions with tangible daily action. We have navigated the sudden shifts of February and now the universe is asking us to ground our intentions. As we move through the lunar cycles this month we are learning exactly how to bring heaven down to earth.

We face two deeply significant lunar moments. First we experience a profound Lunar Eclipse in Virgo. This celestial event asks us to clear away perfectionism mental clutter and exhausting routines. It is a moment of deep release preparing the soil for what is to come. Two weeks later we are gifted the New Moon in Pisces. Astrologically this is one of the most powerful manifesting lunations of the entire year. The Moon perfectly aligns with Saturn the planet of structure and Neptune the planet of dreams. This combination unites imagination with discipline allowing you to finally build the ideas you have been dreaming about.

    Notable Astrological Aspects in March

Beyond the phases of the moon the planetary movements this month greatly influence our energy. Keep an eye on these specific transits as you plan your month:

    • Venus enters Aries (6 March): Our approach to love and resources becomes bold passionate and unapologetic. This is a brilliant time to advocate for your true worth.
    • Mercury Cazimi in Pisces (7 March): Mercury aligns perfectly with the Sun creating a flash of brilliant intuitive insight. Pay close attention to sudden ideas or dreams on this day.
    • Jupiter Direct (11 March): The planet of expansion moves forward once again bringing renewed optimism and a sense of progress to areas where you previously felt stuck.
    • Mercury Direct (20 March): Communication clears up and technological delays ease just in time for the Spring Equinox allowing us to move forward with unclouded vision.

Working With the March Lunar Phases

To truly harness lunar magic we must align our daily actions with the waxing and waning light of the moon. Here is how to navigate the specific phases this month.

The Waning Phase: Releasing and Restructuring (4 March to 17 March)

Following the intense Virgo Lunar Eclipse the moon begins to lose its light. The waning phase is always a time for decreasing letting go and banishing. Because this phase is heavily influenced by Virgo earth energy it is the perfect time for extreme physical and mental decluttering. Use these two weeks to organise your finances clean your living space and intentionally step away from habits that drain your physical health. Rest deeply as eclipse energy can leave the nervous system feeling depleted.

The Waxing Phase: Building the Dream (18 March Onwards)

After the profound stillness of the Pisces New Moon the lunar light begins to build once again. The waxing phase is our period of attraction growth and forward momentum. Because this phase is blessed by the union of Pisces imagination and Saturns discipline it is the time to take inspired structured action. Do not just dream about your goals during these two weeks actively lay the groundwork. Write the business plan make the phone calls and trust that your efforts are fully supported by the expanding lunar light.

    January 2026 Moon Ritual Guide

The moons of January 2026 in date order, with the astrological weather, crystals, rituals and a horoscope for each rising sign

Welcome to 2026. As we step across the threshold into a new year the energy often feels like a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration. We are leaving behind the lessons of the last twelve months and looking ahead to a fresh chapter.

January arrives with a distinct duality in its cosmic signature. It is a month that asks us to feel deeply before we attempt to build steadily. We begin the new year under the watery and intuitive light of the Cancer Moon yet we end it with our feet firmly planted in the earth of Capricorn and Taurus. This transition from water to earth is significant. It suggests that our success in 2026 depends entirely on our ability to manage our emotional wellbeing first.

The journey of the Moon this month includes distinct phases that guide us from an emotional release of the past year into the structural planning of the new one. It is a time to trust your instincts honour your need for rest and then lay the foundations for your empire.

To help you navigate these shifts I have created a detailed ritual guide. Below you will find the key lunar dates and the specific tools you need to harness this energy effectively.

    The January Lunar Rituals

3 January: The Wolf Moon Release

The first Full Moon of 2026 rises in the sensitive sign of Cancer. In ancient traditions this is known as the Wolf Moon a time when wolves would howl outside villages in the cold winter air. Spiritually it represents a time to trust your primal instincts and protect your pack.

This Moon is bringing a mix of high energy and deep emotions because it is triggering both Mars (action) and Jupiter (expansion). You might feel a sudden urge to “turn the corner” on 2025. If you are still carrying heaviness or grudges from the holidays this is your cosmic permission slip to release them.

How to Perform the Fire Ceremony:

    1. Cleanse: Start by cleansing your aura and your space with your chosen Cleansing Tool (Sage or Palo Santo). Visualise the smoke clearing away the stagnant energy of the old year.
    2. Ignite: Light your Full Moon Candle. As the flame flickers set the intention to let go of the past.
    3. Connect: Hold a piece of Moonstone in your hand. This stone connects deeply with Cancerian energy and acts as an emotional anchor.
    4. Write & Burn: Write down your upsets doubts or resentments on a piece of paper. As taught in Moonology forgiveness is the key to manifesting. Safely burn the paper (or tear it up) to release the energy back to the universe.
    5. Close: Blow out your candle and wash your hands in cold water to break the energetic connection.
10 January: The Abundance Check In

The Last Quarter Moon in Libra usually signals a time to release and rebalance. However the cosmos has gifted us a very special alignment this week. Venus the planet of love and money is connecting with the Sun Mars and Jupiter.

This creates a powerful window for abundance. If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to improve your finances or attract love this is the moment to get serious about it. “Love and riches are in the air” so do not let this energy pass you by.

    How to Ritualise for Abundance:

    1. Clarify: Sit in a quiet space with your Gold Foil Tarot Deck or a trusted Oracle Deck.
    2. Ask: Shuffle the cards while asking the universe: “What is currently blocking my flow of abundance?”
    3. Reflect: Pull a card and journal on its meaning. Are you holding onto scarcity mindsets? Are you undervalued in your work?
    4. Manifest: Light a Manifestation Spell Candle (Green or Gold works best here) and visualise your bank account growing. Speak your abundance affirmation aloud three times.
15 to 17 January: The Dark Moon Rest

Before we can build our empire we must rest our spirit. The Dark Moon is the phase just before the New Moon when the sky is completely black. It represents the void, the fertile soil in which seeds are planted.

In our modern world we are taught to push constantly. But nature teaches us that growth requires dormancy. Do not try to manifest during these three days. Instead use this time to recharge your battery so you are ready for the Capricorn energy that follows.

    How to Embrace the Void:

    1. Disconnect: Turn off your phone and dim the lights. This is a time for digital detox.
    2. Protect: Place a Selenite Tower or wand near you. Selenite brings a high vibrational peace that is perfect for deep sleep and dreaming.
    3. Float: Lie down comfortably and close your eyes. Visualise yourself floating in a velvet darkness completely supported by the universe.
    4. Affirm: Whisper the affirmation: I do not need to earn my rest. I am recharging for my new chapter.
18 January: The Architect’s New Moon

Here it is. The true energetic start of your 2026 work. The New Moon arrives in the ambitious and disciplined sign of Capricorn. While the Cancer Moon was about feeling the Capricorn Moon is about doing.

This is the Architect’s Moon. In the darkness we plant the seeds of our career our legacy and our long term goals. It is time to create a 12-month work plan and set intentions that are solid and achievable.

How to Create Your Legacy List:

    1. Prepare: Open a fresh Journal dedicated to your 2026 goals.
    2. Focus: Light your New Moon Manifestation Candle to signify the start of this new chapter.
    3. Ground: Keep a piece of Red Jasper or Garnet nearby. These stones provide the stamina and grounding needed for Capricorn ambition.
    4. Write: Write your “Legacy List.” Instead of writing wishes like “I want a new job” write them as if they are already happening: “I am running a successful business.”
    5. Commit: Sign your name at the bottom of the page. You are making a contract with the Universe.
